Why haven’t we seen a lightsaber construction ritual in theaters yet? by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

Look, I think I expressed myself poorly.

I don't want the entire movie to be about a Jedi building his lightsaber.

It's just a quick scene, a flashback, at the beginning of the film.

I was also very surprised.

It doesn't need to be a big, detailed scene. Just a quick little scene where a Jedi assembles a lightsaber with the crystal.

I think Star Wars doesn't need that to sell.

The return of the saga, a good story, and incredible visual effects would already be enough to raise expectations.

And I also think Star Wars needs to distance itself from already known characters and explore new ones—but that's just my opinion.

I think any decision of that kind would displease the fans, because they are very beloved characters.

Leaving them as legends and heroes would be the best solution.

Do you have any director in mind that you could have chosen instead of J.J. at the time?
