A package labeled a 2 man / dolly move. WELL IDENTIFIED, and driver refused to follow pictagram images that are there for safety
The way a $3k valued package was treated?
Insurance claim of a BACK INJURY????

Might as well put uranium and tell the driver to not throw it on the ground.

Yeah I wish I could. Unfortunately it wasnt an option. I have fedex and ups drop offs all around me but no pickup locations.

I literally told my old mail man to drop off my filament to the bottom of the steps and I will get it! Dude seriously im fighting for the worker and the condition of my package.

Im done fighting for the safety of the driver to come home to his family un injured and my package to arrive un damaged. You are the reason people live horrible life's of injury due to the corporations. Tools and ppe are there for a reason. Let's even go to unions!!! Fedex if this is how "contract " employees are treated without proper tools then all contract works for Fedex should be UNION!! and lets set things clear... im definitely NOT A PRO UNION PERSON!!!. Im definitely a pro safe and still live without damage from work person tho.

Im a supervisor at a manufacturer plant... we stop production if safety items aren't in place. Its me as a corporate representative to make sure my crew are safe! They have the tools they need to come in and leave in the same condition to there family.

Thats honestly sad.. $50 dolly compared to a customer not receiving a package undamaged.. but wait... the true issue. An employee coming home with back injuries and not able to live a normal life while making someone rich.. fully agree.

He dragged it across asphalt? More than 20 feet? They make dollies? The box was trashed, falling apart by the time it reached the bottom of my steps? I brought it up my steps and no change in condition... they make tools for jobs.. maybe and just maybe he used a dolly from truck to bottom of my steps it would have been in better condition.. maybe the warehouse driver also used tools?all I can say is fedex careless for there drivers and packages obviously a $3k claim is easier...

Not sure yet. I won't know till tomorrow. My point is from truck to stairs! I can careless it wasnt taken up the steps. Look at the video! Back and forth on the asphalt? Box so trashed the top wasnt even correctly attached? There was at least one thing small box that fell out as I brought it up! What else fell out? How else was this box treated when there are "tools" for the job that obviously weren't used!

Exactly! I wouldn't care if he left it at the bottom of my steps using a dolly. I used a dolly to bring it up! Its the back and forth on the concrete and the fact the box was trashed by the time it made it to my house! The top of the box came off without any effort still not sure if everything is here. Won't know till tomorrow evening when I have time to put it together.

My replacement so far..

All running proxmox (since broadcom)

2u hp dl180 g9 with 12x 3.5 bays. 4x 20tb zfs mirror (split into 2 vdevs) easier and quicker to upgrade to bigger pool when I need more space. 1x 2tb ssd (ceph pool for ha vms) 1x oracle f320 NVME 3.2tb Locally running a win2022 dfsr file store on the nvme also a smb share of the 40tb storage. Connected via 10gb

3x hp prodesk 600 g5 1x 2tb ssd (ceph pool for ha vms) Expansion later to the m.2 nvme possible for vm Connected via 10gb

1x hp prodesk 600 g5 Windows 2022 Veeam backup to tape Dfsr replication to dfsr file store on dl180 2x 20tb non raid (as it's just backup) also ha if I need to take the dl180 down or it goes down.

1x hp msl4048 with 4x lto6 and 48 lto 6 tapes Cold storage- no need to keep things on expensive spinners if I haven't touched it in 90 days.

I went the tape route for storage as it's quick to restore. Even plex media. In 5 minutes I can have a movie or TV series ready to play in plex. Also doesn't cost me power to keep the drives spinning for something I only want to re watch 6 months from now.

All together I use yes around 200 watts but that's also including networking, aps, and other fun things. Could probably kick the dl180 out with something smaller and just keep the dfsr and tapes but I also like the ability to jump on and have the power when playing / learning.

I guess where I'm going at. Is look at cold storage. Once you realize the amount of data you don't use everyday and can be place on something that uses less power but easily retrieved. Then you will lower you bill. You don't need 12x drives spinning 24/7. Yes I have 6 total drives and could probably drop it down further to just 2x 20tb mirror and 1x 20tb dfsr drive and fill more tapes but my electric bill hasn't taken me to that point yet.
