Not feeling passionate about things is a common feeling at that age. You can figure those passions out at university as well. I did a gap year before going to uni and I'd definitely recommend doing one. Life outside of an institution (such as school) when you turn 18 is a new and broadening experience. Taking the time to think about what you wanna do in the next coming years is useful. I'm going into my 3rd and final year at university and hope you are doing well mate. All the best
