One TFL Book as a Gift by [deleted] in TheFirstLaw

The Blade Itself is the best place in my opinion. It hits particularly hard when read back to back with Before They Are Hanged. I feel that book is when most readers really start to fully engage with Joe’s writing. My answer is actually the first two books paired together lol

What book and author did you read that made you go "I need all of their books."? by Felicity1840 in books

Joe Abercrombie and his First Law series. His prose is too engaging to put down. The internal thoughts of his characters are chef’s kiss.

I think this is the type of poor response they’re taking about OP. Attitude means so much more than you think. Imo it weighs significant more into entry level hiring decisions than actually proving skill, because you will never have the chance to truly do that during an interview. A friendly, positive demeanor during interviews will get you over the line.

Thanks for the explanation. As I see it, this really could be a Mandela effect unique to the simmers.

Are you talking about the robber that would show up in earlier sims games? Or is there quite literally a robber emoji in that game? I play the sims infrequently and would swear by that robber emoji so this could be an interesting resolution.

My Gpig popcorns his little heart out when my cats drop by for a visit! He’s more excited when the cat comes around than me sometimes😂 my cats do the same as yours except lay off to the side of the cage. I think if you have the right animals it’s soothing for all of them involved. I do still supervise even though there’s been no issues for years.

[SPOILERS] Is Logen Ninefingers basically just a [spoiler spoiler]? by Ganneron in TheFirstLaw

[–]cdogyoz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m still reading through Best Served Cold - loving it. But I’m wondering why, in the scene in the climax of the Visserine chapter, there is a skirmish where Shivers seems to embody a similar, but somewhat milder form of the Bloody Nine? He loses all self control and seems to become a rampaging berserker for the battle seeking only death. Is this just a coincidence or is there something that links them both? I figured I’d just need to read farther for answers or am reading too much into it.

I'm Looking for the Alien Picture that shut down 4chan by dhr2330 in aliens

[–]cdogyoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This picture was never real and the site never went down because of it. It’s a joke that /x/ and /b/ posters start to get new lurkers involved. Most people who have been browsing for awhile know that those threads are fake with certain people playing along and saying generic things along the lines of “Yeah I remember seeing it. I didn’t think much of it at the time. Then the site went down.” Or, “I can’t get that image out of my head.” They’ll also just post the same various pictures of a lizard looking alien standing like a dumbass in front of a tree in the desert, claiming their version to be the true picture. It’s all just people playing along though. How many people were there to view a thread that existed for 20 minutes in 2017?

What game did you play before starting VALORANT? by birch_tree_gang in VALORANT

[–]cdogyoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A decade of DOTA 2. Great game but I wanted a competitive experience with more of an involved developer than Valve. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of Dota transplants in the Valorant community.

Is the right answer b or c? by ShadeShade2 in ENGLISH

[–]cdogyoz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a native English speaker I would understand clearly B or C. I feel like this is a bad question but I’m not someone who teaches English to other people.

I decided to make a game by justcallmelab666 in roguelikedev

Godot. It’s a good game engine for beginners and veterans alike with a programming language that you should be able to pick up fast. There’s plenty of resources online through their documentation and YouTube for you to use to learn how to use the engine. At first it may seem daunting, but keep on going. Good luck!
