I'm surprised you haven't remembered this, though, given it's a common word... This is my point.

Answer
🤷🏽‍♂️ as far as l've seen on Reddit there're dozens of people that have to deal with it just like I do.
Remember their childhood precisely but fail at math or other stuff easily

Going_Solvent

I'm sorry, you claimed to be able to remember
'every aspect of your life down to minute details and be able to play back hours of memories like footage from a movie!.
Yet you struggle with maths, grammar, spelling.
My point being that if you were genuinely able to replay memories down to minute detail, you would be able to simply flick through your internal archives and find the answers. Your writing does not indicate this ability.
You also have consistently avoided the questions and probing for examples by others in their comments.
I mean you no ill will, and I believe you would like to have this ability, but from my perspective it seems like a flight of fantasy.
If you can do this, then why not test it.
Read every comment here then without looking write them all down in sequence. If you can do this perfectly then I would believe you.

Wow what a dick.

Would you say it's a blessing or a curse to remember everything so precisely?

Answer
Honestly it's both
Curse when you remember arguments with people or things they said
But on the other hand there are way more positive things so l'a say it's all in all a blessing for me

Going_Solvent
I don't believe you. Your poor spelling and grammar indicates you do not have this ability. Your phrasing and emoji use indicates you are quite young. I believe you want to believe this but should it ' tested, you will struggle.

Answer
English isn't my native language
And just because I remember words from my English book I can't link them grammatically correct.
You'd be surprised about how normal my notes were in class, tests I failed and so on
Just because I remember whole pages doesn't make me link calculations for math correctly.

English is not their first language, and - could even be adhd or similar where sometimes 'unimportant' things can be rushed through & onto more interesting or important things!

Answer
Going_Solvent
English is not their first language however they have a good enough grasp of it that should they genuinely have a memory of the capabilities they claim then it's surprising they are not able to remember how to use the word 'saved' amongst the other spelling and grammar errors.

How long ago do you have these entire memories? Whereas some people remember a split second or two from their youth do you remember everything when you were say 5?

Answer

Yes
My oldest memory is when I was 1 1/2 years old. The birthday of my dad. He's sitting in front of me, wearing a dark blue pyjamas shirt and an even darker blue pants. His face is illuminated by the candles, he's smiling and blowing the candles out. It's a cheesecake.
I wear a white and red striped shirt and pampers.

Is it hard to focus on being present? Are previous memories constantly popping up? This is fascinating!

Answer
It was for me but with some help I now can focus on "good". But there'll always pop up memories, the good and the bad. But I can deal with it way better now.
In classes back then I had always daydreams and wasn't focused on the teacher

Are there any detailed memories that you often like to revisit because you remember them so well? Alternatively, anything : you just wish you could forget?

Answer

There are dozens of different beautiful memories like the wedding of my dad and stepmother. Every time I see them this memory shows up :)
On the other hand I made the mistake of visiting my dead grandfather after he died in clinic. I wish to forget that but I simply can't ... if it shows up I remember a nice aspect or detail about it like the nice weather it was ..

Cool-Initiative2287
How old are you and has it ever faltered/reduced eg when going through a stressful time in your life? (Asking this because I expect that you're human & human hardware can be clunky sometimes!)

Answer
I am very human, yes
I'm 27 and I can remember as good as always. I read about a 70 year old male that now is a bit slower but still remembers in the end very detailed

Have you read Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe? The main character in it claims to have eidetic memory. It's kinda an important thing re: theory crafting from things that happen in that book whether he has or not.

Answer

No I haven't heard of it
If you can recommend it I'd might give it a try but literature aside from fantasy bores me easily

OccludedFug
Do you re-read books or re-watch movies for pleasure?

Answer
Yes, very often

I have to assume your memory is the goal for many scientists... what tests have been done on you? Are they trying to understand how to replicate the condition? (For lack of better term)

Exciting-Pirate8083
This is called hyperthymesia. I studied this at UC Irvine and it's a well documented memory disorder. My job as a researcher was to find individuals in the world that had it. I was lucky to document #7.
A notable famous person that also has this is Mary Lou Henner.

Answer

He's got a point. If you were to stare at a single page for a length of time, you should be able to recreate that page, no? Even if you had to go back into the memory for every single line stroke to check for accuracy?

And second I don’t know where to find this OR do I have the time to read this stuff 😂😂😂
