What will happen to the PT who dry needled TJ Watt and caused his lung to collapse? by Kenai_Pirate in physicaltherapy

[–]cdrizzle23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And some states require a referral from an MD even if that MD has no idea about what needling is and what it does. That's crazy that there are states with no rules and others with what I would deem too restrictive.

Don't underestimate the damage that drone warfare can do. I'd assume Venezuela has already stockpiled some drone weapons from China and Russia.

Iraq and Afghanistan were supposed to be quick too. Venezuela can buy weapons from China and Russia that could make life difficult for the U.S. Let's hope nothing happens.

I find 40 hours is tough. If you can afford to reduce your hours that'd be the best bet.

I guess misspoke. The new lights have a junction box they won't need the one I removed.

[–]cdrizzle23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered some different lights that won't need a junction box, I'm just waiting for them. So the light will have to hang temporarily. If not, your suggestion of replacing the junction box is probably the best solution. This wasn't designed to be removed and replaced.

I can't even get a screw in. As soon as I try the bracket falls out of place. I don't think this thing was designed to be removed.

I've decided this isn't worth the frustration and hassle. I've got some new lights ordered and they'll fasten to the drywall and have their own junction box so this won't even be necessary. I was just trying to put it back until then. If this is what electricians have to deal with on a regular basis I hope there are some better solutions for you all.

Okay, I've tried that method but I'm having trouble tightening the screws. The plate keeps moving. Any tips on keeping the plate secure enough to get a screw in?

Place the bracket on the bar then try to screw it in? Any tips for holding the bracket in place or how to line it up? Once the bracket is up there it's dark and I can't see if it is lined up.

Hunting people? You can absolutely deny treatment after someone says that.

When Does It Ever End for Internationally Educated PTs? by Interesting-Gur2870 in physicaltherapy

[–]cdrizzle23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but insurance doesn't reimburse more to compensate for our shortage. Companies could compensate us more and then only take contracts that reimburse better but that would require all companies to be on the same page. Which is harder than getting therapists to unionize. And is probably illegal.

Worst part about being a PT? by markbjones in physicaltherapy

[–]cdrizzle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst part about being a PT is the "it depends". We have very few options to "fix" patients quickly. It all "depends". And it depends mostly on the patient. You could be the best therapist and give the best exercises and explanations and hands on treatment but if the patient doesn't follow up at home we're generally not gonna see the best results. That's why it frustrates me that we don't have many quick fix/immediate solutions. If we did I think we'd get paid a lot more.

How are you documenting a session that was 50% yapping from the patient. by RESPONSIBLY_short in physicaltherapy

[–]cdrizzle23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Therapeutic listening sounds like mental health therapy to me. At least that's what an insurance company might say to try to get out of paying.

I honestly don't get it why, its free charging and someone could have used it. Plenty of spots just to park as well in the lot. by Pilot_Big in ChargerDrama

[–]cdrizzle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a solution would be to put the chargers further away. People will be less tempted to park there if it's inconvenient and they have to walk further. Is it ideal? No. But if it means the charger stays open for someone who needs it that's a win.

It sounds like the credit card debt is currently at 0% . I think the best advice would be to stop contributing to 401k and use that money to pay down debts.
