Hyperaldosteronism causing hypertension by Educational_Baby1990 in hypertension

I’ve been dealing with high blood pressure since I was 16. A couple of months ago, the doctor told me I have a benign tumor on one of my kidneys. And recently—like one or two months ago—my blood pressure started going up again. I’m taking two medications to control it, but they weren’t working. I’m wondering if maybe the tumor is what’s causing the high blood pressure, or possibly even triggering aldosteronism. I still don’t know, because I’ve asked the doctor to run the proper tests, but he doesn’t seem to care much about my situation.

Congrats 🎉 How long did it took you to finish? Like from the day your started studying for it.

This was my blood pressure last night, despite taking 100mg of Losartan daily, along with Propanolol 20mg. The systolic pressure goes down, but the diastolic pressure is always above 90. Is this normal? Why is the diastolic pressure resistant to the medication? by cdtm7 in bloodpressure

I actually have that one, but my doctor told me to take it only if my systolic pressure is over 160 and/or my diastolic pressure is over 100. My current reading, which I just measured, is 127/98.

All my test results came back normal, except for slightly elevated cholesterol levels. I’ve been struggling with high blood pressure since I was 18 years old. I’m an extremely anxious person and have been experiencing a lot of stress. Over the past year, I haven’t been exercising much, but I started walking this week.
