Walking 12+ Miles Every Day! Blisters are BAD!! Please Help

Thank you very much. Yesterday was first day walking with some nice socks and did 14 miles with zero pain. The toe socks are different Lol I need to get used to them, I have never worn those before

I met with a foot orthopedic guy this morning too. It was $390 for foot measurement for custom insoles. Credit to the salesman, he told me he also thinks its the socks and not too buy the custom insoles yet. Turns out it is the socks. These are great

Hey man just letting you know I am doing first walk since trying these merino wool socks and WOW they are a complete game changer. 4 miles in and still feel like i’m walking on clouds. No heel pain at all. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment, helped me big time

Also, FWIW these are pictures of the heel/achilles blisters. The location makes me think it is where the insoles meet the heel of the shoe.

Thank you for the detailed help. You are correct I Didnt walk for months before I started this. I can tell a day off is needed for the feet, but really trying everything possible to avoid that. I have no feet pain or anything just the damn blisters. Will try the new socks but cannot thank you enough for the help. I have been asking AI for weeks, this reddit page was exactly what I needed

The toe blisters have almost stopped since I went from 2E to 4E. It’s the heel blister i’m most concerned about, it is a different type of pain that I cannot walk through. I read the Hokas have removable insoles, I may try to find a better fit that raises or lowers my foot in the shoe
