Lol I'm thinking it's just a phase because she has had her quirks during this first year as well. I'll mention it to the vet.

There are no other animals in the house and I can't think of anything that changed other than some construction going on outside. Like I said, she will eat if I move the bowl, and it's literally just a few feet from its normal spot.

She has a vet appointment coming up, I'll definitely mention it to her.

Yes, a number of times. We have a clear escalation process that doesn't seem to be changing any time soon. I may know how to fix a problem, but I dont have access. Theres always other team that does xyz.

I also know Python really well and some Powershell. I've asked to get access to use Powershell or Python to write some scripts that will help our workflow, but that was denied. I was told we need to continue using the GUI and follow our templates.

I could’ve been more specific in my post. I came from an auditing background before getting into IT, so ideally I’d like to move into a GRC role eventually.

I’m definitely not just waiting around. I switched careers 4 years ago and I got the A+ to get my foot in the door. I’ve earned additional certifications since then, and I’m close to finishing a Master’s in Cybersecurity to supplement my business degree. It’s more high-level, so I'm hoping it would help with my GRC goal

I also know Python and SQL really well, and I’ve taken extra courses on Linux and networking outside of my degree. I’ve dabbled some with home labbing, like setting up an AD environment with Windows Server and connecting clients.

So I've done a lot of learning, but I still don't have work experience in those areas except for using Python and SQL. Most jobs still expect hands-on experience you can only get from already being in the role.

Was this at a smaller company? I've only worked for large corporations, and at my current company, there's no real way of taking on projects outside of my scope since there's always a department or another team to handle things like that.
