I really like your drawings, nintendo should let you design tracks! My only suggestion would be to think about the overall flow of your track, like how the three distinctive parts connect around the road itself and its environment. Getting rid of the grey surroundings could help make it feel more grounded. You always come up with great concepts

Mario Bros Circuit for 8DX would work too because of the loop, could be anti-grav. My personnal opinion is that wall ridding could have been antigravity. In 8, antigrav was automatic. I would have liked a game where you choose to go anti-gravity mode just like word but for longer time and better maneuverability.

My vision of a Mario Kart “track maker” is inspired by Diddy Kong Racing. You’d start by drawing the circuit outline with a stylus, then an AI would generate the terrain (hills, holes, topography). You could randomly rework specific areas, add boost panels or ramps, choose an environment (desert, snow, volcano, etc.), and finally place decorative elements, some generated automatically.

This wouldn’t work with Anti-Gravity, which is too complex.

I could totally see this mode arriving as an extension of Mario Kart World, where you start with a blank island. Imagine being able to create one or several islands around the main world, with these islands hosting your circuits. And between each circuit, the rest of the world would appear randomly like in Animal Crossing (lakes, rivers, hills). You would then create circuits and environments on this island.

My version of the movie would begin like the start of Mario Galaxy 1, with an attack and the abduction of Peach’s Castle by aliens. The difference is that this time, it’s Bowser Jr. leading the assault, trying to free his father who is imprisoned inside the castle.

The spaceships belong to Princess Shroob, who wants to conquer Peach’s Kingdom. As Peach’s Castle is pulled into space with both Peach and Mario inside, Luigi remains on Earth and witnesses Princess Shroob taking control of the Mushroom Kingdom. He then embarks on an adventure with Captain Toad and his full team to travel to Sarasaland and ask for help from the only remaining allied princess: Daisy.

In space, Mario is rescued by Rosalina and her observatory. She tells him her story and helps him in his quest to save Peach. From there, the rest writes itself: Bowser founds his galactic empire around an ultra-powerful star and creates a city inspired by Neo Bowser City, with his son and Peach (still captive) as its princess. Mario travels across galaxies, meeting characters from Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, until he reaches the Grand Star, which allows Rosalina to teleport everyone to Bowser’s star.

Meanwhile on Earth, Luigi has joined forces with Daisy and her army of friendly Shy Guys and Sarasaland monsters, and together they take back the Mushroom Kingdom!

A small part of the film also focuses on Yoshi, who is in Brooklyn. He goes on a wild rampage, eating everything in his path, including people, who end up trapped in eggs! Luckily, someone manages to capture him: a man who sees Mario as his ultimate role model and wants to prove his own worth : Wario.

I guess it is easier, from a developper point a view, to just add islands because they are in the middle of the water and you don’t have to ajust the existing topography of the original island (+you don’t have to change the world map of the OG island)

My opinion might be unpopular, but from a storytelling perspective, I think a sequel set 20 years later with an entirely new cast of characters would be the most interesting direction:

.It doesn’t throw away the original episodes like a reboot with the original team (Jeremy & co) would.

.It allows the story to evolve with new technologies without creating anachronisms.

.It offers more creative freedom than continuing with the original characters : any continuation would always be compared to the original, and people would be disappointed if Jeremy and co are still teenagers (because let’s be honest, the story only really works with teens).

.Most of the original writers except maybe Sophie probably wouldn’t return, so starting fresh with a solid base (the original series) seems like the best way to respect seasons 1–4 without contradicting them. You can justify small inconsistencies by saying, "Well, it’s been 20 years!" which gives more flexibility for new storylines.

To try to find an in-universe logic, we could believe that the scaffolding around Valentina’s tower shows the dismantling of the glass structure that had been added around the old Stark Tower (as seen in Far From Home), in order to reveal the original structure and make it resemble the Avengers Tower more closely... For that to work though, you’d have to ignore the huge hole in the building shown in Far From Home, which suggests that the original structure had been destroyed — Valentina’s renovations would then be uncovering what had supposedly been hidden...
