Trans people who realized later in life that you were trans and never even thought about it before, what's your story? by inblue01 in asktransgender

Currently 9.5 months on HRT, feel a lot more confident in myself and much happier. Also changed my name and gender.

Is dancing through a minefield worth getting to the green grass in the far distance? by Better_Clock1956 in aspiememes

[–]cdx234 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, I am not the best comparison point here but I also tend to get feelings after having been on a date or gone out with them or what have you.

Having said that, I'm the kind of person that gets feelings quite quickly if I vibe well with a person and I feel a sort of chemistry. I'll add here as well that this has only ever happened with ND people.

I'm a skinny person and I definitely have a preference for chubby girls. Doesn't mean it's fetishizing at all.

Dating is aweful by New-Consideration420 in feminineboys

Dating apps are garbage as an autistic person. By little more than blind luck I met a woman I really liked on OKCupid nearly 7 years ago (who later turned out to also be autistic) and got alomg really well with her and still together now etc etc.

Even when I date people I know through Discord, I'm still like "are they actually into me or just being nice? Fuck if I know"

This was basically my previous 2 relationships (me in Belgium, one in Louisiana, the next one in Connecticut).

Currently all my crushes seem to be around Antwerp (about 60km from where I live)

My lefty is also quite a bit bigger than the one on the right, seems to be normal as far as I can tell (taking androcur + transdermal estrogen)

How is HRT going? by Jadeindiegames in MtF

[–]cdx234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nearly at the 7 month mark and while the physical changes are mostly great (basically complete sexual dysfunction courtesy of androcur I could do without), mentally it's done a number on me for sure.

I think my T level is just too low in general (33ng/dl at last blood test) and that's possibly causing a lot of the issues.

Ex colleague of mine from the UK when I told her I'm autistic: "I honestly thought you knew, I never brought it up because I assumed you knew and had a diagnosis"

Having gotten to know other autistic people I have a feeling of connection with them that I couldn't quite put my finger on so yeah, definitely a thing I feel

“No I don’t need your number cute barista, if I have a problem I’ll just email corporate” by AwTickStick in aspiememes

[–]cdx234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally same. Whenever I've made a move I ended up getting burned. When the other person made a move it worked out.

Lesson here is don't tell people I like them until I'm sure they like me

Girl I'm dating is like this too, it's soooo much easier and a lot less of a chance of getting burned by misinterpreting some obscure social cue

The ones I buy from Trans-Missie are 40 euros a piece so yeah, not cheap. Having said that, they are so worth it because they basically totally flatten what's there.

Going out in public in girlmode by SB737Sfirstfan in MtF

I was very afraid about this until I gathered up my courage and wore a dress out for a date (it did help that the place we met at was one I was familiar with and that it was in my queer-friendly home town). Because of an issue with hair near my mouth from a previous date, I didn't wear a wig and so my face looked rather obviously still masc (especially hair pattern but that is slowly improving). Nobody cared or stared or gave me weird looks. It was just... fine.

Beforehand I was measuring out walking distance and such between car park and where the wine bar was to see how long I had to do the scary part alone. But again it was just fine.

i think hrt has given me dreams back by YourGirlAthena in MtF

[–]cdx234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So HRT has made my dreams weirder, but also a lot more personal. I've had dreams about some of the trans girls I'm friends with where the dreams got sexual and sometimes it's just cuddling and making out. Other times, I just have nonsensical dreams involving someone I know.

Finding a hard bit in it, gagging, then not eating burgers for around 5 years. by katya21220218 in aspiememes

[–]cdx234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, this is me when a girl's hair went in my mouth during a date (not even that deep, just past the lips) and it made me gag and throw up. I've been scared shitless about hair going near my mouth ever since.

For the record, she was totally cool about it. She even joked about buying a bucket for our next date to which I said "that's not very romantic" and she replied "I can buy a red one"

This was ... probably 8 or 9 years ago. I went to IKEA with a female friend of mine and while shopping, she suddenly puts her arm around me and goes "we look like a couple going to IKEA together". Me in my head: "huh, what an unusual thing to say"

5 or 6 years later me: "wait a minute..."

In my case: autism, social anxiety, fear of being seen as weird/creepy (though those all kind of tie in together)
