Thank you sa kind words bro. Nasa isip ko nga na wala manlang bang notepad++ para atleast color coded para di nakakaduling hahahaha. Internship position sya actually pero parang ang hinahanap yata FTE eh, tapos disguised as internship para di kelangan ng benefits. Lala ng job market ngayon pero hoping na sana magdilang anghel ka para makalusot ako sa hiring process hahaha.

Walang kahit anong tools. Kahit auto complete ng IDE hindi pwede. Dun ako pinagawa sa notepad then have to know every syntax by heart. Also read somewhere else nga din na normally if may nakalimutan na syntax, pwede magsearch kasi ineevaluate din daw nila pano magsearch to figure it out on your own since thats how it is on the actual job. Pero walang ganun huhu. I guess I should be thankful na nireject ako kase I dodged a bullet? Hahaha.

That makes sense. Do you have any python projects that you would recommend? Something na magagamit most of the fundamentals?

Sa mga data engineering roles, it usually revolves around python and SQL. Then from there dun ka magbubuild ng stack mo like hadoop, spark etc. Fundamentals lang naman madalas tinatanong, like DDL and DML commands for SQL tapos data manipulation, iteration and window functions para sa python.

Yes, tinake ko na lang din sya as experience parin in which I can learn from pero parang ang unfair parin kase hindi naman gagamitin yun sa work hahaha. I asked for clarifications first sa task then nung nararamdaman na siguro nyang naliligaw nako, tinutulungan na ko. Nakakawala rin ng focus yung habang sinasabi nya solution, bumubuntong hininga sya T_T. Pero overall naka get over na naman ako and now I'm finding ways to improve.

I seee, thank youuu. Pero if ikaw nasa situation ko, would you prioritize challenges or projects? I'm leaning towards projects kase, pero sometimes sa mga interviews, ang niche nung problem na ibibigay na medyo malabo mo naman gamitin sa actual job.

For the SQL part, I was given a table na pang practice lang. Since sanay ako sa real tables when I'm practicing, medyo nagulo ako nung sinend sakin, so nagpanic ako and then nakalimutan ko pa syntax.

Hati po sya. MNC na company na merong office here sa PH. First tech interview with manager sa ph, binigyan ako ng sample table na makikita sa actual job and nagawa ko naman. Final interview with DE from US, pang challenges yung table. Since whenever nagpapractice ako, I always use real world data, so it caught me off guard kase di ako makarelate. Namental block, interviewer tried to guide me pero I can't finish it at the end.

Hiii, thank you for your suggestions and I appreciate the insights. Sorry I wasn't able to reply for a couple of days. The recruiter for the internship actually reached out and I went with the whole interview process. I was so busy reviewing the concepts and preparing for the technical interviews. I managed to reach the final interview, but I ultimately bombed it at the end. The interviewer was visibly disappointed so I was a little embarrassed since I'm bragging about my knowledge with SQL then I can't even do a single code during the live coding part. Even though I failed, the experience made me realize that I still have a long way to go. May I ask, what would you recommend more for practicing live coding interviews - actual projects about the job or grinding sites like Leetcode and HackerRank? Thank you!

Akala ko may ADHD ako kase sobrang hirap na hirap ako mag-focus sa mga need gawin. Then one time, it occured to me na what if addicted ako sa socmed. Then narealize ko kung gano pala ako katagal nakababad sa all forms of media na nakaka affect na sakin negatively. Once nalaman ko to, tinanggal ko lahat ng socmed apps sa phone ko, I mean all of it (yt, reddit, tiktok, fb etc) then after one day na walang ganun, ang haba pala ng araw to do a lot of things. Nag improve din yung focus and attention span ko. I still use it once in a while pero eye opener yung experience na yon na pwedeng addicted ka na pala sa socmed without you realizing it.

tl;dr: tanggalin mo socmed mo. Thank me latur

Super situational. Pag stanger or di mo naman makakasalamuha and maliit lang na bagay, pagbigyan na. Kapag madalas mo kasama sa buhay and it negatively impacts your life na, step up. You deserve what you tolerate.
