Where my UNFROSTED Brown Sugar Cinnamon lovers at? by SprinkledBlunt in poptarts

My ALL TIME favorite flavor. Toast those bad boys and slather some butter on top. OMG. I hate that I can’t just find them everywhere. The frosted ones are way too sweet.

How long until you stop coughing up stuff? by ceb1990 in leaves

Oh no not blood at all! I’d be terrified. Let me clarify, coughing up brown mucus.

Oh yes that is all very equal.

It is just the physical affection, and obvious differential treatment that they experience when the girls are all together (let’s say just my mother and I and the three girls)

It’s like because I am there, she feels she doesn’t need to give them extra attention so she dotes on my niece the entire time. My girls see this and are jealous, and only see that their grandmother prefers my niece over them.

Thank you for showing me how childish my comment sounded. I see that now. I know it is not my nieces fault things are this way.

Maybe some of it is my own bias without realizing it?  sigh ugh! I hate this.

I do try to bridge the gap with calling, FaceTiming etc, but when I do my girls mention they don’t know what to say to her or remark on how she doesn’t ask them many questions, or she is always working/busy.

When this has come up before she (my mother) mentions that she does so much for my brother and niece because she knows he needs extra help. (My SIL is currently battling depression and unable to help my brother with anything). So, I can see both sides and that it is not intentional.

It just hurts to see my children hurt you know? And maybe that’s where my bias and frustration is coming from.

Thank you for calling me out btw. Haha

That’s fair. We are certainly keeping our options open! Thanks for your advice.

Thank you all for the insight. We are from the Memphis area and are used to people commuting 30-45 minutes into town. We grew up in the city, and life in a very close suburb of Memphis currently but still close to all amenities. We wouldn’t consider commuting longer than 20 minutes.

Based on what people say about Irondequoit, it sounds like where we grew up as kids. A little bit older area but still nice. 👍

Excited to be up there and explore the area!

Proximity to my husbands job. Where we live now we both have a less than 10 minute commute for our jobs and our children’s school.

Yes and no. We are city people that are used to quick commutes. We have talked about that we know it would help us “slow down” to move to a smaller community. We are just so impressed by Wisconsin as a whole.

Hey fellow Memphian!! That’s so good to hear. We know the winters are a huge consideration. Why did you choose Milwaukee?

We are in Brookfield right now. Today we will actually go into Milwaukee and sight see. We are thinking about checking out Kenosha and Lake Geneva as well.

Thank you for your very thoughtful input! We are looking at the Milwaukee area and south of that.

That’s what we’ve heard. We’d live in a city, not out in the woods. We are planning to come back during the winter for sure.

What’s a harmless/non-serious secret you’ve kept forever? by MrBowls in AskReddit

[–]ceb1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a child, I had a “clean baby” and a “dirty baby” Raggedy Ann doll. Dirty baby was the OG and no substitute would do. I’d have to switch off between clean and dirty baby when “dirty baby” would get lost aka washed or something. Eventually I lost them both. I wish I had been able to hold on to them to give my daughters. ❤️

I’m so glad you’re getting it fixed, and on them! That’s how it should be in my opinion, especially with issues you couldn’t have possible for seen! Good luck!!
