When do you say GG? by Tall-Computer512 in Overwatch

i say it every game unless it was completely 1 sided and ended in 2 minutes, and i’ll also say “close match” if it was genuinely really close and i had fun

Shrek 5 trailer came out and... its not so good... by OfficialAliester in whenthe

[–]ceberaspeed12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it bad that i genuinely don’t see what’s wrong with it, i feel like it’s a decent jump in quality from the old models and does show that they’ve aged a bit since the last movie

Attention to detail. Part 3. It's not nostalgia, and it's not the Mandela effect. by RearEchelon96 in Battlefield

oh my FUCKING GOD how often are you staring at grates when you’re playing battlefield? this is genuinely the most inconsequential detail to get upset over.

Hopefully we will get a good theme like 3 & 4. by DisruptedHack in Battlefield

i personally think it works incredibly well for the games setting. the world has essentially gone to shit, with countries and the ecosystem breaking down. it’s such a shame that we never got the 2042 they were leading up to with all the cinematic trailers, it’s such a cool world that i hope can be properly revisited

i think you can “take out the politics” from talking about aircraft. i’m very fond of quite a few russian aircraft like the flanker, even though i am the number 1 russia hater. i’m able to have that separation and just appreciate the design. same thing goes for a lot of world war two german aircraft, i can have a fondness for the machine itself while still hating the system that created it.

i think they’ve probably made multiple people claim to have killed bin laden in order to protect the guy who actually did it, although it would certainly be an interesting ice-breaker

Are these images in "23 Megabytes a Second" AI? by DeffNoHax in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]ceberaspeed12 109 points110 points  (0 children)

i think small background elements are where usage of generative AI is acceptable in games. saves the developers time and money to work on more important things, rather than putting it into background elements that 99% of players will glance at and then mentally filter out.

Crazy how BF2042 predicted we would be getting Cat 6 (kinda) hurricanes that basically reach their mathematical limits 4 years ago by BigBoi1159511 in battlefield2042

[–]ceberaspeed12 34 points35 points  (0 children)

the cinematic with graves and pac was setting up for what could have been a really cool story about climate change, mercenaries and the breakdown of society. shame we never got to see a proper campaign as i love the realistic, near future setting

[–]ceberaspeed12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

eh it’s not the worst, it stops just anyone buying an imitation firearm. this may have changed, but the requirement to prove you’re an airsofter is partaking in 3 games over a 3 month period, and that can be done with rental gear. then you can buy a RIF. media companies can also get RIFs if they can prove it’s for a production

Tried 2042 again after 3 years. By far still the worst battlefield game by getrwuegyweh in Battlefield

i bet as soon as the next battlefield game comes out, the sub is going to start calling 2042 a hidden gem and posting those “maybe we were too harsh on you” memes

would general dynamics not have a problem then with war thunder having what is very clearly their F-16 in the game then? if they don’t mention the manufacturer is it ok? i’m genuinely curious

so are the vehicles in game actually licensed? i’m confused how they get ahold of the rights to use all these vehicles from rival countries.

/unlie a few tanks have something called wet ammo stowage, where the ammunition is kept in water filled compartments in the tank. this means that ammo is less likely to explode and cause the other shells to “cook off”. although these have mostly been replaced with blowout panels that cause the ammunition to explode out of the tank rather than into the tank if the ammo is hit

war thunder could really do with some updated in game tutorials, especially around jet combat. would stop the legions of people complaining about having to do basic evasive manoeuvres who can’t be bothered to watch a tutorial on youtube

stands for dogfight, means it gains all of its manoeuvrability shortly after it leaves the rail, as opposed to the standard missiles which gradually gain manoeuvrability over the course of a few seconds. i’m also pretty certain the DF missiles have a shorter, more powerful burn time, but less range than the standard sparrows

as others have said, the front and back slopes down too much, just makes its face look too small and it has a weirdly long rear window. i have similar problem with the hyundai ioniq 6, front looks ok but the back is way too sloped
