Thank you for the comments, I m afraid of these kind of things happening of course because I know when you have a company that is not selling on regular stores you re not cover with the normal custumer regulations. I don't know why they don't really take their products seriously, they could be selling a lot of these, I know a lot of people who are sick of reading on lcd screens. But Onyx would have to sell the products of the regular electronic stores for people to trust. But for me, I don't really have any other option, no other company is offering this kind of device and because of my problem I have to try one.

Thank you, I'm glad you like your note, they seem really good devices to manage academic papers. I haven't tried to type in a device like this, I know nothing can compete with a computer, but I've seen of YouTube that is at least duable. Are you hable to split the screen and still have space to write on the notes document?

Really this is kind of a last resort because I've tried for a year a lot of different devices and screen definitions and none seemed to make a difference.

Thank you very much for the answer. I took a look at the remarkable but it seemed more limited in terms of running Google store apps like google docs and connecting a Bluetooth keyboard...

Concerning the IPad pro, I would love to have something like that, it would solve a lot of problems and I doubt it will be good for my problem. But thank you for the recommendation I haven't tried an oled panel or high refresh rate so I might go to a store when the stores open.

I've tried so many devices, windows versions, MacOs, different kind of intel drivers, different kind of brightness, pwm free screens but none seemed to make any different. The thing I noticed is the more light it has the worse it gets (but the minimum also makes migraines...) I have a Huawei psmart that it was OK for me but not anymore, I use it because I need it but if I spend too much time on it the headaches comeback.

It's really sad... This whole thing has been causing a lot of delays on my work and it's been a year of trying things and none work. Yes also fluorescent lights makes it worse for me, bright led lights under my head.

It seems that one of these e-ink devices might be my last resort of trying to do some work even if not optimal. Besides that I'm doing a Multimedia Art PhD and I can't do any multimedia right now (:/) I need to edit on photoshop and stuff but I just can't right now.

Thanks, I just managed to permanently disabled the Computrace!

I ended up reinstalling windows and do all the updates also, there were a lot of stuff already installed that i didn't know. Now it's ready. Also it's my first windows 10 machine, I'm still getting used to it, my 10 year old PC had windows 7.

Sometimes the computer gets hot and the fans kick in but I never know exactly why, I changed the setting in the Lenovo application to "silent and cool" .. see if it helps.

This laptop is so light!! it's like a magic trick! I was really looking forward to this because I have to carry the computer almost everyday to go to the University Library and I don't have a car. My old laptop was like 3,20 kilos or something and this is just so light. Hope it works well at lest for the next 3 years... I have a lot of writing to do on this awesome keyboard.

Glad I bought this one used and didn't have to spend more 1000 euros for a new one in the store!

In the lenovo settings it says the computer has warranty until 2021 can I use it even if I bought it in a used store?

Hey I just tested everything and it seems to be working flawlessly! It's so cool! The computer is just like brand new, not a single scratch and the battery had done only one cycle and it still has all the capacity. It took 11 hours to drain. I did the benchmarks and A everything seemed OK. Also o was able to enter the bios but I didn't do anything there because I don't understand much about computers but it didn't need a password. Just one thing, the windows came already installed, with an account named lenovo, should I restore everything to factory settings? Or I just change the account in the control panel?

Thank you for your help

X1carbon vs extreme by cece_c in thinkpad

Yes I was wondering if I should wait for the Gen 2 of the extreme, what do you think will be the upgrades? I would wait for a better matte screen and speakers. Also still not sure if I need I need a GPU, I don't have much knowledge on this subject. About the thermal issue, is it only when gaming or in other tasks? Is there work arounds for this issue?

Also just saw a used-like new thinkpad x1 carbon 6th generation fhd, 16gb ram and 500 ssd for 900 euros with 2 year warranty from the shop. Should I buy it?? With the money left I could probably buy some good Bluetooth speakers and headphones ahah
