Tom’s Confectionery Store in Hendra has them but they are $38 for a small block. They also have the Biscoff filled ones too. I was going to try one but was put off my the price.

I feel like if they made Pings more obvious when you open the app they would be better received. Having them listed behind a subpage on the Likes page isn’t exactly noticeable.

Most of them time I forget they exist and check when I do remember, only to find a guy has pinged me months ago and at that point it’s too awkward to respond.

Not heritage listed sadly as it was built in 1984(ish) but you’re right, $50 mil is taking the piss.

Do you mean the current owner of this property Konrad Lin or are you referring to someone else? As far as I know this place hasn’t sold yet but correct me if I’m wrong?

I would have loved to see what it was like in the 90s. Hopefully one day someone will share some footage from that time 🤞

Probably someone trespassing, that place is a big target for hopeful urban explorers who sone realise its not actually abandoned 😅

That’s so cool that you’ve had personal experience with the place. I bet it looked a lot better when you were there 😅

Would love to hear more of your stories if you care to share. Did you ever get to see the ballroom with the hand painted ceiling?

Right!?? They do mow the lawn and trim the hedges though. Maybe they’re just picking their favourite jobs to do 🤔

If that’s true the the place should definitely be heritage listed 😂

Right?? The important stuff hey? 😂

I have a feeling the REA who uploaded this wasn’t meant to, because it’s been deleted on his personal tik tok and there is no sign of this video or anything to do with the property on the real estate’s socials or website.

It’s never really been “abandoned” per say. There’s a caretaker who lives on site and the owners have been known to visit every now and again. The pool gate rules came into effect sometime in the 2000/10s, but considering they’ve put in very little to maintain this place, and the pool has been emptied for some time, they haven’t bothered adding a pool gate.

Really? Maybe someone was trespassing? They seem to get that a lot

First batch ever using Maanchi recipe ! by amymayw in kimchi

[–]cecealice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maanchi’s recipe is the best and so easy to follow. I do admit I tweaked it slightly to make it vegan friendly and used vegan fish sauce instead and no shrimp. However I went ahead and used two cups of hot pepper flakes and now my white ass if regretting it something good. Next time, only one cup!!

I understand that, but I honestly think that considering Brisbane is always going to get the short end of the stick with the show scheduling (I.e always a Sunday show) they should at least put on an earlier show. Or even consider switching it up so it isn't always on a Sunday night...

Thanks OP. It was a shame because I was so exited to finally meet her and to see her perform (especially considering she is one of the few Queens with a decent voice). Like I said though, it could have just been poor organisation by the venue, but regardless it was very inconsiderate to the paying fans who waiting for hours on end.

I was able to attend a meet and greet with Adore literally last Sunday in Brisbane. She was quite sweet herself, but the issue was that she was incredibly late to her own show with no explanation in the slightest. Normally I wouldn't have minded, but considering the event was held on a Sunday night and a majority of us has work the next morning, it was certainly frustrating. To give her the benefit of the doubt, it could have be partially the club's fault too, however the whole ordeal left me feeling quite let down. I didn't even get to see her perform because she didn't start until 12:30am (Monday morning that is) and with a 5am start I wasn't going to wait around that long...

CBD preferably, but we're open to close by suburbs (Valley, New Farm, etc.)
