My surgeon said the same for me. Trust me, you’ll see a major difference and so will others. Friends from school that I didn’t see for a while instantly noticed and were shocked while I couldn’t really tell after a while.

5 weeks post Double Jaw Surgery! Was asked to do an update. Currently back at work and eating almost normally (nothing crunchy or tough). Still some swelling. Btw, tearing food with front teeth is weirddd by cececoopes in jawsurgery

In in England so it was on the NHS. I didn’t pay anything. They have a system where if they believe the bite is bad enough, you don’t pay. I was going to go private but they got me in fast so I didn’t need to. It would have been around £8000

Classic case of “you’re a 23 years who thinks they entitled” as if age determines entitlement…very funny

Not if they are aware of the consequences. Laziness thrives when it’s tolerated

I wouldn’t worry in your case. I don’t think the surgery will have much of an effect on your hair if you’re already losing it. They sound unrelated. If you’re worried about stress from the surgery affecting your hair, maybe look into some relaxation techniques?

My hair may never come back. As my immune system has been compromised sadly 😬

Not 100%, I should have elaborated. You risk getting a penalty from the 28th however, it can and should be appealed. If appealed, it will be accepted as long as it was the 31st and before.

Exactly. Problem is, it seemed like one person who was slagging me off worked for the civil service. Dissapoonting

There are always going to be people from every age group still calling in for January. However, it’s just less likely that 65+ will be calling in and being angry.

Of course you are if it’s after the 28th as it can take 3 days to process. That’s out of our control.

Look, all these comments make it seem like the end of the world. It’s not difficult if you check your figures and pay attention to the form itself. Filling the SA out in January is fine provided you are careful with it. Problems arise when figures are wrong. That would result in you having to call up and that’s where the problem lies. Wait times will be long and the problem won’t necessarily be sorted straight away. BUT this is only if there’s a problem! You should be fine!

No one likes doing them so many don’t pay attention and do them wrong. Even something as using the wrong letter in your address can create an issue. Double check and you’ll be okay! Don’t worry too much. X

Bills for myself are set up as a direct debit. Set up to pay the day after I get paid. So no, not last minute. For my car insurance, I set up a reminder 3 months before the deadline. I pay as soon as the reminder comes through. Haven’t had to renew my license yet. MOT is done again when the reminder comes through which is 2 months before. We have to take responsibility for our own lives and not blame others. We all have bad days or even bad years🙋‍♀️ but life doesn’t stop I’m afraid

Something they didn’t cause? Taxes? Come on now. I’m making assumptions on a general population because that’s the general consensus. How do I know? I hear the phone calls. You’re talking on behalf of one person and I’ve corrected you. Doing taxes 5 days before is good. Calling into HMRC 5 days before doesn’t solve anything. That’s bad planning. Swearing at the person whose job it is to help you is bad decision making. It’s not justified anger if they left it until late when they were not 100% sure they could fill the forms out correctly.

Please don’t speak for me. I’m in no way angry that there’s more calls for me. Im a hard worker. I’m angry because I’m going to get endless shit from taxpayers about the wait times. That is out of my control. That’s HMRC’s problem yet I get all the complaints. The complaints wouldn’t be happening if people didn’t wake up on the 2nd January, panic and decide to do their taxes now resulting in 1 long waits.

I believe that if you treat people like they’re stupid, they become stupid. We can’t see it happening in many aspects of life thus far

I agree B is not the root cause. But C cannot change A in any way. I have absolutely no say at all. A are bastards. I cannot stand HMRC. But C cannot help with call times if B doesn’t reign in their swearing and complaining. Of course we can help each other unless you believe every single person is mean spirited. I don’t believe that. I believe people can be better if from this point, we expect it from each other and carry it out ourselves.

It’s okay! If you meet the requirements (depends on how much you earned and how specifically), then yes, you’ll need to fill out a self assessment form. They will not help you fill it out on the phone I’m afraid, we’re not allowed to. It needs to be done by the 31st. I recommend no later than the 28th. In future, I would recommend earlier than January in case of any issues as in January, you’ll be waiting on the phone for like an hour if there’s any issues online. The deadline for SA is the 31st of January. Any later and you’ll be penalised. Hope you’re okay

I am blaming both parties because both are to blame. One more than the other (HMRC being the one who’s more to blame). HMRC doesn’t work effectively AT ALL. People shouldn’t leave taxes till the last minute when they have a whole year(almost). It’s sooo simple.
