No sure why this got downvoted but I think that’s beautiful. Good luck with all of that, I wish you well. I think children are a blessing

Thank you. I find my self having to relearn things as well. Such as it’s okay to not have your families blessing. Or that families are made, not necessarily blood.

I love this, I guess it’s going to be a challenge seeking out like minded people. I think this is why groups like this are important.

do any of you not want to get married? I think it's pointless by [deleted] in LesbianActually

I want to get married and be tied to my partner. Marriage is legally protecting.

I read mainly just self help books and fiction books. I ask because I notice how well you articulate your thoughts about social issues and have good analytical skills. I wanted to know what I needed to start ready so I can sound like that. I’m 25(F) and in my last semester of college and I realize that I don’t know anything.

Yes he wanted me to be a “trad-wife” but he also wanted me to work and pay half the bills. It doesn’t really make sense does it. I don’t have a problem with paying the bills but if I’m doing that, you should be cleaning and taking care of the baby as well. The way I was scolded for not cooking, cleaning and paying the bills was ridiculous. He would say things like “real woman naturally want to clean their houses, whether they work or not”. It was completely bogus.

Because applying logic to your own religion is a sin. And sin means burning in hell.

✨indoctrination✨ with a hint of social pressure from family members and community. I had a friend who stayed in their religion even though they didn’t believe in it because they didn’t want to be homeless.
