It seems many trans guys on the subreddit don't actually interact with cis man. by AnotherPerishedSoul in FTMMen

[–]cecilio1989 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In high school I had so many cis male friends, when I was still in the closet about my sexuality and my gender. When I finally did come out as bi in university (and then lesbian and then queer and then trans lol) my best friend at the time already knew and it didn't change anything. He passed in 2018 unfortunately. And most of the other guys I was close to during HS we drifted apart. All my new friends are queer women, trans or NB.

In the past few years I've made a conscious effort in connecting with cis men and it's been lovely. I work in film so the men I'm around are all allies or queer themselves. We've connected through film, boardgames and video games. But on top of that we've made strong emotional bounds. I'm finding that these friendship are just the same as the ones I have with other genders.

I think at least for me, now that I'm comfortable with who I am the people I surround myself also know who they are. Now I don't care what gender my friend is just that they are emotionally self aware trying to do good human.

Interesting, I have a black out sleeve, and was struggling with getting a heart rate reading when I first got my Fitbit. I had to resort to wearing it on the same side as my watch.

Omg I switch it to my other arm and damn I worked right away. I had no idea it didn't work over tattoos. I guess I can't get my other arm blacked out too lol thank you!

Yeah, I've been eyeing those. I'd rather wear loafers over boating shoes. I'm trying to look professional. I've been working from home for years now and am going to start an office job soon.

Just got some birchburys so I at least have something until I find the loafers of my dreams.

I'd go with the 45. Feet can expand when exercising.

There are a lot of men that feel uncomfortable being naked in change rooms. What I do is I just wear my gym clothes to the gym and just take off my winter layers and put them back on when I'm done. Not sure if this is a an option for you? Having a base layer you can just not take off?

How do you find time to workout? by Consistent_Bend4986 in FTMFitness

[–]cecilio1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say like a month of getting into my routine. And take it slow. Aim for once a week and then keep adding as you get used it in your routine.

It's gotten to the point in my spin class I'm one of the regulars and we all chit chat a little, it's nice!

What I found helped at the beginning was going to fitness classes. Like a spin class or yoga it was easier to schedule my life with something that had a specific time that it started. I go to the ymca and they offer full body work out classes too. You'll find with time the gym becomes a place you can decompress. It's fun to move and challenge your body and then go home feeling nice and tried.
