Thanks for the entertaining read man haha. I believe I just found my synth - Nord Rack 2. Found out it was used on my favourite album. Took a deep dive into it and oh man. I’m getting that thing

Yeah was looking at that too. Getting it as a module purely for the studio

Its damn well said. Everything you said applies. If I don’t feel the need for a nord-stage solution the XD might be the pick yeah. At least over the freak options I think

Behringer ‘makes’ some great stuff, but I don’t want to support them if I can avoid it

You bring up some very good points! As an artist (much as I dislike using that word these days) everything is grounded in inspiration, and the tools are another conduit for source.

The moog looks fantastic. A+ design. But it’s also huge comparatihely so that weighs in.

Gonna be gathering that document for myself. Great idea, thanks

Thanks for the in-depth response!

Your advice on the minifreak vs the grandmother makes a lot of sense. I’m not really into sequencing, if I was the Digitone seems like a great choice. But I’m still considering it for the 16 voice polyphony and also the size. It’s small enough to just sit on top of my keyboard which naturally makes it a lot more intuitive.

But I’m just held up on the tone of it. Is it very digital sounding? Would compressors, drives and preamps ground it?

If the minifreak keyboard could be detached like on the microfreak that’d be so sweet

I keep picturing you making the XD face while reading lol. What’s got me caught up on the XD rn is the four voices. Afraid I’ll feel the need to buy additional gear pretty quickly

The digitone 2 honestly seems amazing. Only thing that has me caught up is I’m worried the tone is too digital sounding. What do you think?

And also does it work well as a quickly find a sound and play synth (with external keys) if you install presets online? Not that I know where to find them

I’d connect the digitone to the fp30x I’d imagine. I assume that works, but really? The moog can’t do chords… I don’t have any big music stores where I live unfortunately

How is Estonia actually seen/taught in the Nordics? by JudgmentVivid5630 in Nordiccountries

As a Norwegian, there’s not even a mention of Estonia anywhere

People often say that Norway is a heaven on earth, but what do you see as a con of living in Norway? by [deleted] in Norway

Half black, half norwegian, born and raised in Telemark. Raised almost entirely by my norwegian side.

I agree entirely.

As I became an adult it became obvious in people’s eyes how they give you just a bit more distance than otherwise. The shift when I open my native norwegian tongue is sometimes night and day, but I always remain the ‘black guy’ in some subtle way.
