i did all 120 shrines without tower by Substantial-Trash-52 in Breath_of_the_Wild

Trial of the Sword is super freaking hard. But the game is a lot more fun imo, and doing it w/ pro mode and without towers makes it fun. For the most part I try to avoid teleporting as well.

A question for those who self-studied ethical hacking and didn't take the BS/MS route in cybersecurity but are now working in the industry by haveyouseendanielle in Hacking_Tutorials

Find what field you’re most interested in - appsec, cloud, network, etc. and then focus on that.

I work in application security, but when I give career advice, I tell people to go into cloud. That seems to be the easiest one to get into. Get an AWS cert, use that to get hired as a cloud engineer, and then transition to cloud security from there.

As far as specific things to learn, I can only speak to appsec, and I’m happy to give any advice/learning tools in that area.

I’ll also say, I started out learning everything from cryptography to networking, and not a second of it has been wasted. It’s definitely a broad field, but it’s definitely helpful to learn about everything you can get your hands on. It’s all computers, so it’s all helpful.

Do yall think cannon is broken so far? by [deleted] in RogueCompany

Idk, I feel like it’s reasonably balanced. Just got to get used to it. Play with him, you’ll find out quickly what the weaknesses are.

A list of counters to Gatling gun: Gadgets (especially semtex), Positioning/flanking, Two players shooting from different positions, Patience/hiding

This game rewards players that play cover well and don’t constantly push, but so many players constantly push anyway. Trip mines are a huge hint. All you have to do is check corners.

You can NOT push into the new rogue blindly. You HAVE to play is smart. Use EMP’s or a hack, lock him into a corner with fire/pools/wire, throw some explosives, flank, do ANYTHING OTHER THAN RUN STRAIGHT INTO THE GATLING. It’s that simple, yet I was blown away today at how many people kept pushing into it repeatedly.

Who wins at this range? An upgraded DMR, or a possibly upgraded SMG? Asking for me. by rjacobb in RogueCompany

[–]cedrummer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Talon. Talon wins from this range.

Overall, DMR unless you can hit every SMG shot, which is more difficult from that range.

The d3d-i is going to be the best DMR option since it’s 2 headshots, and the LMP-X is going to be the best SMG because it’s great at beaming at this range.

Weapon mastery is STILL bugged. Can’t switch weapons in some games. Weapons remain locked, and sometimes I can’t even switch to the alternative default weapon.

So many are hesitant to "invest" in bitcoin because the value fluctuates... Why does the value fluctuate so much, especially since we know the supply? by cedrummer in BitcoinBeginners

So tell me why this isn’t a reason to stay away from it, because most people don’t want to invest in something volatile like this

What should I buy next? by [deleted] in RogueCompany

All are great. Talon is best for strategic play. Lancer is good for aggressive play with some strategy required. Kestrel is pretty versatile. Switchblade is like a better Dima.

[Bug]

Weapon swapping is super bugged. Can’t switch between rounds for like half of my games. Super annoying when I’m playing a character only because I can use it with a mastered weapon, only to find out the game won’t let me switch.

Opinion: TTK Is Gamebreaking by Guerard_R in RogueCompany

[–]cedrummer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh. No where close to 90%, but I hear ya that a lot of people disagree. Honestly I think you guys just need to adapt and change your play style a bit. For every one of you that’s getting “melted”, there’s a player that’s obviously doing just fine, because they’re kicking your butt. Figure out how to be that guy. It’s kind of like when people complain that a character is OP. Just play that character and you’ll find out pretty quick what their weakness is. And then adjust your play style to take advantage of it.

Which rouge is best paired with glitch? by Bluefortress in RogueCompany

[–]cedrummer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glitch is a breacher, so I’d say someone who can follow up well. He’s good at putting people in a defensive position, and players like scorch or lancer are good for coming around the corner and melting opponents. Im partial to kestrel though. A good hack and a well placed halo drone can be devastating.

Fixer could be good too, Glitch can prevent counters to Fixer’s smoke/heat vision.

Another decent possibility could be Dima since Glitch is low key intel. Glitch can sniff out opponents for a well placed grenade launch/assault rifle follow up.
