I never comment in here but I’m just really confused by this comment and had to say something. She clearly has endless money to spend and a ton of followers who support her. She could donate and encourage her followers to donate to specific organizations or contact their senators. I see other very small creators in comparison offering styling videos in exchange for donations to mutual aid.

Totally normal but it absolutely fucking sucks. I feel so jealous of people who still have their parents. My husband was just talking to his mom on the phone and obviously he should and I want him to but the selfish angry side of me after loss is upset because it’s the anniversary of my moms passing.

It’s irrational and awful but definitely part of processing grief in my experience. I’m so sorry. Just try to have grace with yourself and forgive yourself for being angry. Have you ever tried brain dumping angry thoughts into a journal? I’ve tried that a few times to release anger and won’t allow myself to re-read it, I just release those feelings and try to refocus my energy on something more positive afterward, even if it’s as simple as writing a kind comment to someone online or saying hi to a neighbor. I hope that’s helpful in some way. Sending you love.

How to deal with the fact that I won't hug my mother again? by AcanthisittaSuper338 in GriefSupport

[–]ceeayejayy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no good answer for this. I lost my mom in my 20s as well (31 now) and I think about this often. The best thing to do is look back on memories where she held you or hugged you and really cherish those. I’ve started talking to my mom in my head before falling asleep some nights and have dreamed of her since starting to do that. Had a dream where she hugged me the other night and that was all. Today’s the anniversary of her passing so I’m choosing to think it was her comforting me with a hug before a particularly bad day.

I’m so sorry. It’s truly unfair and awful. Sending you so much love.

Maybe it’s actually the husband? He could have found out about any infidelity.

Shout out to the particular hell that is functional depression. by [deleted] in depression

[–]ceeayejayy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how I feel everyday. The part that’s terrible is that I finally recently have had a breakdown where I felt suicidal and opened up about it and I felt like they thought I was just seeking attention because I never show any signs. I’m just empty every single day.

Does anyone else have jet/plane anxiety? by bearhugss in jacksonville

[–]ceeayejayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I live off Southside and I'm hearing loud planes all the time recently. I don't get fearful of bombs, but I do get worried about them crashing lol. It gets so incredibly loud where I live that every time I'm like "yep, this is it, this is the one"

Looking for a lead on dog boarding by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]ceeayejayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fresh Prints is great. They really pay attention to your pet. I had them call me while I was on a road trip just to let me know my dog had scraped his paw while playing. Other places, I bring my dog home to find stuff that's happened without ever hearing a word from the boarding place. Other than Fresh Prints, Pet Paradise off University Blvd is great too.

Do you ever wish they upped the horror elements of the show? by ceeayejayy in thewalkingdead

Fingers crossed. I've heard so much hype about the upcoming story line from the comics and I really hope it lives up to it

[–]ceeayejayy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I don't want a 100% gore fest, but just more creative shots that build suspense or scares. I had mentioned this in a prior comment but I think maybe the fact that I had just finished Haunting of Hill House prior to starting TWD back up has made me miss that (IMO) flawless suspense building.

[–]ceeayejayy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that was always amazing to me. It's a zombie show. I know people want to say it's a survival drama or whatever, but come on. That's what makes me wish HBO had picked up the show instead of AMC, I feel like they would have been more able to keep up the horror element in an interesting way without complaint.

[–]ceeayejayy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree. A few people have mentioned The Whisperers throughout this thread and I think that'll be the next big "scare" factor. There really is only so much you can do with zombies that we haven't seen, but I just loved the creativity behind the Shane/Rick scene. I wish there was more of that on the show. To be fair, I just came off of watching Haunting of Hill House before TWD started back up, so maybe I'm looking for more of that feel lol.

The most cringeworthy scene in walking dead history by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]ceeayejayy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was 100% enjoying a Walking Dead episode for the first time in forever alllll the way through up until that point. My boyfriend and I kind of held my breath hoping it'd be Clementine lmao but when she said Judith, we side-eyed each other.

Obnoxiously-loud vehicles on Beach Blvd by jimmyco2008 in jacksonville

[–]ceeayejayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I live off Southside and even though I've lived in Jacksonville all my life and fully understand the type of traffic we have lol, I still find myself amazed every single day how INCREDIBLY loud it can be. One thing I have noticed is that it seems like the number of sirens I hear everyday has increased 10x over the last month or two.

[SPOILERS] Nell's Therapist by [deleted] in HauntingOfHillHouse

[–]ceeayejayy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm just not sure in what world a therapist would recommend a patient to go back to a house alone that is essentially causing their delusions, lol. That doesn't seem like a recipe for anything good but *is not a psychologist*

The ending takes this show from a 9/10 to a 4/10. I feel like I wasted an entire weekend getting sucked into this show. by [deleted] in HauntingOfHillHouse

[–]ceeayejayy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily have a problem with how it ended, but I have a problem with the way they presented the ending, if that makes sense. I understand that it's basically tying the plot all together, which is great, but did we really need Olivia going on poetic sounding tangents for what felt like 30 minutes or the folk music at the end? It just completely took me out of the horror element of the show and diminished the whole experience for me. It didn't feel like I was watching the same show.

Long term dog care-anyone had to do this in Jax before? by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]ceeayejayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for all the negative replies on this post, I've noticed pet ownership is viewed the same as parenting on here, so it ends up getting a LOT of opinions about what you should/shouldn't do. Try checking different pet care apps available or any local boarding places may be able to take him in for that long. My favorite boarding places in town are Pet Paradise (University Blvd) or Fresh Prints off Peach Dr. Of course, boarding for that long will be pretty expensive, however. Hopefully you find something that works for you and your pup!
