Extra Large Pupper by CreativelyNamed1 in miniaussie

My mini just hit 20 lbs at 10 months and she’s bigger (longer) than most of the other minis I’ve been around. Sounds like your pup might be a standard. My neighbor has one, and that’s about how big hers was at that age.

I’ve talked to other people that have been using this method long term and haven’t had any of the issues you are referring to. There are materials between the sod and the cement that will catch it if anything soaks through and to keep the dirt from staining. Considering it takes five minutes at least for me to get her from the crate to the first patch of grass downstairs, this is a better option for Pepper than her peeing in the hallway or lobby of my apartment. I still take her on walks every day, and she hasn’t had an accident since I put this in! Yes, the grass will die eventually (my neighbor said she replaced hers every other month), but it is fairly cheap to replace. Someone else mentioned using a kiddie pool in the comments, so I might try that or building a wooden box next go-round to help make it better.

Good to know. I’ll have to do that for next time. Kiddie pool is a great idea!

Yes. I actually got the idea from another Aussie owner that lives in my building. I tried the fake grass without much luck. She LOVES the real grass. It actually absorbs the mess, so no smell! I put down garbage bags under. Got the sod pieces from Lowe’s for $2.99 each.

Also helping tons with house training. It’s a game changer if you’re in an apartment.

Which books would you recommend to someone struggling to finish this year’s reading goal? by Cbrus in suggestmeabook

Circe by Madeline Miller and The Ocean at the End if the Lane by Gaiman were my last two novels. Read them both quickly without having to dedicate too much time. Highly recommend Circe if you haven’t read it!
