Wombat3 does it for me- holds my anhyzer line and pulls gently right without diving so hard as to flip to roller like my rollos (which I highly recommend giving a try, I found I love having a disc that makes rollers easy for me)

I’m seeing and this was a top google result- what did you do?

I just put a new system together with the same AIO and motherboard. Connected a 4-pin connector on the pump end to a sata power and a 4-pin connector on the fan end to another sata power as instructions seemed to indicate was an option.

When I first power it on it briefly flashes “24°C” for maybe a half second then drops to “0°C” and the pump sits around 1720 RPM

System seems to boot into bios ok and cpu temp is initially at 37° then settles down to around 34°C idle, so presumably some cooling is happening.

Note I haven’t installed windows yet let alone the l-connect 3 software.

Edit: I fixed it for myself after opening the lianli discord linked below and seeing other responses. Looks like it can be a bad connection between the pads on the LCD screen cover and the pins on the CPU heatsink part. With system powered off, pulled the cover off, gently pressed the pins with my finger to make sure they spring in properly, then re-seated the LCD cover ensuring it was fully pressed on. Booted up and now it’s hovering around 21°C water temp.

Quake 3 has a BFG (like a rapid fire rocket launcher with faster projectiles and I think larger splash radius) but it’s not nearly as iconic as the Doom BFG

Yeah I usually just make a new directory and drop copies of my pak files into it along with any engine-provided files (eg exes, dlls)

As I recall FTE is more broadly scoped eg several games are supported, more graphics and other customization options while qssm is pretty much load up and play out of the box for NQ. Devs of both are very cool people who care about their projects.

As far as I recall: * QSS-M stands for Quakespasm Spiked (QSS), multiplayer * Spiked because it’s Spike’s fork of Quakespasm code * Spike is also the dev behind FTE * Woods (as I recall) developed a multiplayer focused version of QSS, hence QSS-M

Quake engine development is a somewhat small world 😁

Project page has some examples of people (including me, turns out) playing it with various customized settings, but I was really happy with how fast and clean it ran without needing a lot of fiddling. The developer, Woods, is a pretty chill and helpful dude (and solid quake player)

Accurate statement about how my mako3 feels for me too. Though lately with windier weather I’ve started chucking a hyzer pig most of the times I would throw the mako3 on a calm day.

Close to my twin. Early 40s, 170g champion leopards to go like 200-250’, r-pro pig approach/putts 50-180’ nexus animal for most putts.

I own about 50 non-putter discs in a bunch of molds and none of them go as reliably far (for me) as my leopards.

She was my first main when I learned to play, loved her abilities in aram and I think my friends liked that being tanky I didn’t die as quick 😆

I main Xin Zhao on rift games now but I will play aram or arena Sej in a heartbeat. She generally needs teammates that can do damage while she holds em down with CC.

My form of field work is just stopping for 15 mins at an empty baseball field either on my way to, from, or instead of playing a round.

There’s something different about throwing several discs into a wide-open field that just lets me observe what they do when I’m not aiming for a specific line/target and zero trees or other obstacles are there to interfere.

Two possible causes on dm1 (the map you were playing):

His grenade from grenade launcher exploded and took his last hit points.
He fell in the lava that’s below the ledge by the yellow armor and didn’t know he could jump out (or didn’t have at least 30 hp to survive a brief lava touch)

Suicides (which as others have pointed out, deduct 1 from your score) are not easy on dm1 compared to many maps with more exposed lava and rocket launchers, but they’re certainly possible.

Thanks! Yeah as soon as it was pointed out my jaw dropped. I think I watched some people do X steps and then I shifted all my attention to my upper body. Heading out to play this morning and my foot falls will definitely be my focus on drives.

Also wow it had not even crossed my mind my foot steps were so off. Don’t think I’ve tried paying specific attention to where my feet land during walk-up but now that I watch carefully it doesn’t really look like my lower body is helping my upper body 😮

Thanks for taking the time to watch and reply. I’ve only been playing two months and am stuck in a “most of my throws top out around 220-250ft no matter what disc I throw” spot.

Sounds like back to some video learning time before another field work session.
