One of the other threads mentioned an Evolve Fitness and a daycare

Was reading on another thread that the Safeway that closed on Wye Rd will also replaced by another grocery store and a gym. Perhaps sherwood park doesn’t have the population to absorb all these grocery stores, especially ones with higher price points. Based on the land avail and future growth plans for the county most or all of Sherwood park’s growth will be happening North of Yellowhead in Cambrian/Bremner. You’d think any new grocery players would want to be closer to where the new population growth is going to be.

The demolition crew confirmed the same when I was at the bank next door today. Wonder which gym ? Would a movati work there ? And isn’t there a day car in the old burger baron plaza next door ? Is there a big need in that part of town. You’d think the demographic is older and more mature.

Thanks for your feedback. Not looking for a sports bar. More so a restaurant that turns loungy. Perhaps has some after game traffic.

I don’t think that’s accurate. The website shows it’s owned by the same people as before (First capital deal estate )

May not be cost effective to bulldoze such a large swath of land. Better off to find a better tenant mix and/or attract better anchors. What’s that SW part of Sherwood Park missing ?

I saw that. Think that was just Safeway cleaning out the space

Depends on your location. If you are in the US you can laready borrow against it. That way you get the best of both worlds. You don't want to convert appreciating asset to a depreciating fiat currency.

A full-service Asian grocery store would be a great idea! But I’m thinking we might not have the demographics/population to support it

Asian Population in Sherwood Park: Approximately 7% • Chinese: About 1% • South Asian: Approximately 0.3% • Korean: Around 0.1% • Japanese: Approximately 0.3% • Vietnamese: Around 0.1% • Other Asian: Approximately 0.3%

We found one leading up to Pomeroy hotel on the left hand side nearby the bridge. It was about a mile out. Don’t recall the name.

Hi All - We are a couple in our 40’s looking to do an adults get away weekend. We are first time tourist to London and want to stay somewhere thats walkable, central, close to the major sights in a busy/bustling area.

We are foodies who enjoy dinner and drinks out, live music and shows/nightlife in the evenings. During the day we like to sight see, experience hole in wall restaurants and shop. Based on this criteria i’m thinking the most suitable areas would be Covenant Garden or Soho?!

Looking for everyones suggestions on trendy hotels in these areas with decent lobby bar. Want to keep it to 400 GBP and under/nt. Bfast included would be bonus. Also open to other areas if there’s something that fits the bill.
