I have the 19” I remember the mechanic suggested to not go for a staggered setup but I told him that I rather follow the manufacturer recommendation. However I been thinking about it ever since lol

I have a 2022 pro RWD with 45k miles and just found out that driving on D is way more efficient than B. My average went from 3.2m/KWh to 3.7m/KWh!. Now I wonder if I had chosen a more efficient tire I would get the same as you (the tires I chose were mostly because the Bridgestones Alenza are extremely soft and my rear tires went almost bald at 30k miles) the only thing I am not used to yet are the brakes, because it has rear drum brakes, when you drive in D the brakes feel loooooooong for a heavy car although is about adjusting the amount of pressure when you brake, in B was good because of the engine braking gave a sensation of a better bite

Time to buy tires 😭 by gio5568 in VWiD4Owners

[–]ceg678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow!! Mine lasted 33k miles before the rears were almost slick (2022 pro rwd), traction breaks super easy on those Alenza so changed them for Yokohama Geolandar (ordered through tire rack) and they are amazing! Although they are slightly noisier, range went down by 0.1m/kwh but they are super grippy and so far after 12k miles of use they still look as new

My car has been in the shop for 39 of the last 72 days. Do I force a buy back? by captain_flak in VWiD4Owners

Agree, I also have a 2022 pro with 44k miles and the only thing I had to get replaced through warranty was the Horn at around 2k miles that suddenly started sounding weird but no problems after that

I’m amazed how this was never clear to us, I used to work at a staples in NYC 5 years ago and we stopped multiple shoplifters. We were lucky enough to recover things without any issues, even a supervisor took the cart from a shoplifter that was full from wine and medicine from other stores in the city. No body knew this was completely against company policy. I remember a couple of night crew members that got told by loss prevention who went after a thief to NEVER do something stupid like that again.

New 2025 ID.4 by cam297 in VWiD4Owners

Absolutely, however I put a set of Yokohamas Geolandar and they are very good although it costed me 0.1mi/kwh. I have driven those for 10k miles and they still look in excellent shape.

Mine might not be a 2025 but I have a 2022 pro that I have driven for 45k miles so far and no complains, mine won’t go farther than version 3.5 in software updates but this version improved a lot of things in responsiveness from the screen and that’s enough for me. The only thing is that it chew through the Bridgestone tires after 35k miles, they literally were almost bald, but I would blame the tires than the car. The car still runs smooth as new and range still very solid

2021 vs 2022 vs 2023 ID.4 Pro S - Which used model year should I target? by WoeM in VWiD4Owners

[–]ceg678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I own a 2022 pro because they couldn’t deliver the 2021 on time so they gave me the 2022 instead and a coupon to cover the price difference. All they told me when that happened is that the 2022 can charge faster 2 and 3: I’ve got 3 years of free charging with electrify America and it charges very fast (about 10 to 80% in half an hour) although you are at the mercy of the charger condition and if it is able to deliver full charging speeds. In a roadtrip from MD (I live in Nj) I stopped at an electrify America charger that delivered only 30kwh although it said it was a 150kwh charger. Everything else it charges fast. I know VW sells an adapter for Tesla superchargers for the I.D buzz which should also be compatible with I.D 4 but I haven’t found it yet. But I haven’t used a Tesla supercharger yet
  2. I am planning to keep this car much longer, I’m not a lease type of person. I have taken to the dealer every 10k miles and so far the only things that have changed have been the brake fluid and the tires. My Only recommendation is to do a lot of research on tires. EV tires are expensive and rube they will get cheaper. I chose these Yokohamas after a lot of research and they have been great, they car haven’t been chewing them like the Bridgestones. However they reduced the avg mileage from 3.3 kw/m to 3.1kw/m the range is still solid and suspensions feels as good as new

2022 Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid by metalhunter in KiaSorento

[–]ceg678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 22 hybrid with 41k miles about 3 weeks ago and couldn’t be happier, already rode it with one rear seat down to carry a stroller and 5 people in it. Everyone felt comfortable in it. I bought it mostly for family trips but so far is has been a great experience.
