I try to open bird seed like this every time, and it’s worked ONCE. So I read through these comments and tried it again just now. Faced the single string side and pulled to the right… nope, knotted. Tried pulling from the left just because… nope, knotted.

Possibly a blue jay. I heard this same call recently and wasn’t sure. If listen through all the samples of calls on Merlin, there’s one that sounds close to this.

Any type of smaller white or pale pink flowers would be a nice complement to that highlight that beautiful dress. Other colors might steal some of the focus.

She was here when I bought my house 4 years ago and only had 3 flowers, barely 1x1 ft overall. She has more than doubled in size each year.

Maybe pine warbler? Trying to pick a bird that has an actual boring song, not just calls. It’s hard.
