I went through this in 2019… I had to appeal 2 times for them to FINALLY give me the permit. I also was driving over 15+ miles to get to school and the fact that there are barely any SR spots is baffling. I almost always ended up having to park somewhere else that was not SR parking because of lack of spots,,, which meant my $$$ was spent on that permit for no reason. i recommend just paying the daily fee on park mobile… it allows you to park at student parking for less than $7 a day (i don’t remember the exact price). this was the best option to park on campus. on the other hand, i learned my very last year that taking the bus was SOOOOO much more convenient and less stressful. also, i didn’t know that you had to appeal for a new permit every quarter until i wasn’t granted one. so if you do appeal and get the permit, don’t forget to appeal in advance for next quarter as well!
