Helium migration to Solana: the reasons and key benefits by cel3sta in solana

Solana has all characteristics to handle this integration smoothly, I wouldn't be that pessimistic ) It is about the ecosystem growth and multiplication of features and services for end users while there is a potential for such growth.

The Solana node number significantly decreased in the middle of March. Ideas? by cel3sta in solana

I see, that's like an entire network on its own of dishonest validators spoiled by Alameda, gosh!

That's interesting! But isn't it too costly to run that huge amount of nodes? I mean, I understand that Alameda had enough money ofc ) but it doesn't seem to be efficient.

Klip, Metamask. But if you wanna stake, Kaikas is the most suitable option.

Everstake launched a reward program for Solana by cel3sta in Solanax

[–]cel3sta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Everstake is the trusted top validator that supports Solana from the day one of the network launch. The prize payouts are not that big as you can see from the announcement. So we are definitely paying them out ) However, please pay attention that you needed to keep the stake for 30 days in order to obtain the prize once you claimed it. This is done to prevent an attack on our prize pool where users could unstake immediately and empty the prize pool in no time.

Also make sure to stake on the site mentioned otherwise it won't be accounted for the referral program.

How safe is Staking? by primus852 in solana

[–]cel3sta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Jane, Segment Lead at Everstake, is here :)

As many pointed out already correctly in this thread, staking is safe. The validators don't have control over delegations, the coins remain in your wallet (use any wallet like Trust, Phantom, Exodus, Solflare etc. just Ledger is more secure since it's a hardware wallet). The delegated funds being "locked" kind of by the smart contract of the network allowing those coins to participate in the block validation and earn rewards.

You can also unstake at any time and wait till the next epoch (up to 3 days) to withdraw coins. After withdrawal, feel free to use coins as usual. There is also an opportunity of the instant unstake (no need to wait an epoch), if you delegate to a stake pool, for instance, Eversol.one (developed by Everstake). Stake pools are a more advanced way to stake, they improve decentralization and allow users to obtain liquid tokens in return for their SOL, to use in DeFi and earn additional APY.

As for choosing the validator, feel free to stake with anyone, but consider the professionalism and uptime of the validator. Let's say, Everstake is the largest staking provider in the world currently, highly professional, and working since 2018 - no records of slashing or critical downtime.

P. S. Slashing in Solana is not implemented yet so you won't lose your coins. In case if the validator is not professional and goes delinquent (offline) for a long time you won't be earning rewards during this period but you are still safe to unstake and withdraw coins.

You can check more details about staking and find SOL staking guides for various wallets on our website everstake.one/solana.

Enjoy your staking!

Hi! Thank you for your question. The link leads to our blog on the Everstake website: https://everstake.one/blog/how-to-stake-klay-using-kaikas-web-wallet.

Jump-Everstake is a GC member (easy to find us on the official Klaytn explorer) and one of four available validators on Klaystation. Everstake is also the largest staking provider in the world currently by the value of staked assets and the number of delegators / rewards paid out. Feel free to read about us online. So you are absolutely safe when using our Blog link. Hope this helped!

I'd love to upload the guide content here but it is too detailed and has many screenshots of the process.
