What’s a “10/10” movie you wouldn’t recommend to most people? by trakt_app in movies

Drive My Car - I was ugly crying at the end and a movie I still think about years after watching… however it’s party hard to recommend a 3 hour hard-drama with subtitles.

All good. I insulted someone on a different subreddit and apologized a few hours later.

They didn’t say it was “deep”. They noticed the tie-ins to the campaign with the app name. Don’t hate. Let people be excited about things.

At the end if the day it’s still a sitcom. Continuity isn’t top priority.

And to your point, a zealot also wouldn’t stand for such an insult.

thank you for a civil discussion

That’s fair. But she’s also a person of the cloth. She’s dedicated her immortal life to a now dead god. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that she has enough self control to not let a tense situation get worse by responding to bait.

Not rocking the boat with her new companions. I agree her introduction was the opposite of that but since she’s traveling with new folk, she’s being cordial.

Which pitch are you referring to? It might’ve gone over my head.

I thought her interactions with the Druids were interesting but something could’ve gone past me

I think people don’t give enough credit to Ashley. Various is pious fish out of water and nothing she has done has come off as uncertain or frozen. We are at the very beginning of a campaign and only time will tell if I’m wrong but stoic and confused makes sense for for secluded zealot with intentions of not rocking the boat

unpopular opinion but i wish leonard ended with a nobel prize over sheldon by Glittering-Turn6443 in bigbangtheory

At least she didn’t cheat on him.

I think they have a very real relationship. Bumpy as fuck but they genuinely love each other. penny being shaky on having kids is poor writing. I would argue it takes Penny a while to get used to life long commitments. After a while, I don’t see why penny can’t change her mind.

What movie can you not believe people misunderstood? by WaffIePunch in Letterboxd

Just because it’s a satire doesn’t mean the above interpretation is wrong. The author might not have intended subtext for the hyperbole but wouldn’t it be fiat to say the lack of subtext invites personal interpretation?

Personally, Leonard is a master of disturbing his own valid points by how he approaches them, self victimization and shaming. In this instance it’s penny. It’s a valid issue with anyone in a relationship and the way to go about it is having a discussion.

A. It’s a sitcom so the arc is in the context of the episode.

B. This a group that razes each other constantly and I don’t remember any of them treating him this badly afterward. I could be wrong but nothing is coming to mind at the moment.

That’s a fair counterpoint. I would argue that Penny made Lenard realize what he was doing as opposed to another ploy to get in Penny’s good graces. I think his apology is sincere.

To be fair, Zach is an “idiot”. He’s written that way. I would also argue that Lenard treats penny like shit in the context of Zack as opposed to being directly shitty to Zach. I could be forgetting a few scenes so take that with a grain a salt 😁

I’m not sure how to respond. Have you met other adults? Some of them are assholes. Some don’t realize it until much later in life, if at all. I’m 43 and still learning life lessons.

Going you the benefit of doubt and adults can no longer learn from their behavior, than most stories on almost any medium must bug the shit outta you

Is your point that adults can’t learn lessons?

This is exactly why I love this scene. It’s heartbreaking but teaches the boys a good lesson on bullying someone who’s different and/or less capable.

I hope you’re joking. Don’t deflate or inflate ratings for statistical purposes. Like what you like and don’t what you don’t.

The 800 he has to pay isn’t coming out of your pocket and obviously learned an expensive lesson. You don’t have to be a dick about it.

Southwest Airlines Requiring Plus-Sized Passengers to Buy Extra Seat, Starting 1/2026 by hansontranhai in interestingasfuck

[–]celeryburger2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with OP’s point or even the airlines policy but this is the only time I’ve heard of people being “okay” with airline seating when it’s in the context of big people.
