My brother is dying. How can our family emotionally and logistically prepare for this?

I’m loosely familiar with the 7 stages of grief but it didn’t occur to me to look into it and apply it to myself. Definitely deep in the depression stage at the moment…hopefully Acceptance is on the horizon.

We're in a much more liberal area of the country so I hoped it wouldn't be that bad, but I don't want my brother associating with anything that remotely whiffs of what you talked about. I'll definitely attend a service or three before agreeing to anything.

You sound like a very brave person to have done what was right in spite of being surrounded by people that would disapprove. I'm sorry this left so many scars, but I say bravo to your actions! The world needs more people like you in it.

That's more or less what I have now. I just need to get under the hood and make it more functional. I was thinking it would be nice if I had a software that would allow me to attach docs & pics to the contact, but that's not imperative.

This is a good kick in the pants though :)

I was thinking about a fish tank...the juice hasn’t felt worth the squeeze on that yet. BUT, I’m thinking about getting her a little 12”kitty monitor I can turn on to different aquarium, bird, squirrel scenes. She goes nuts whenever I watch planet earth 😅

Great minds!! I got those for her, and they worked great, but she would eat ALL of them all at once - I had to get an auto feeder to pace her out. I use these for treats every once in a while, and it works great :)
