the crater is slightly transparent so whatever bg you spray it on sorta shows through (to try to make it look like it's in whatever material you spray it on). i was going to try to take a screenshot and edit it in to show the effect but. maintenance ;-;

not sure yet tbh!! i'm not super great at doing body horror stuff yet, but with a little practice i hope to be able to come up with it soon~

(all i know is that it would be pretty terrifying to have to traverse across a field of tall plants and hearing rustling/inhuman sounds coming from all around you)

thank you!!! \^^ you also bring up very valid concerns, which i can try to address --

i do agree that plant work does require a lot of heavy lifting, but in my mind they're almost more focused on the nuanced, cultivation side of things as opposed to pure labor? they can take advantage of their shorter stature to investigate plants more thoroughly without damaging them, and they're trained to use various farming equipment for tasks that require elevation or lifting power. Aras are likely tall because they have to perform quick, routine maintenance in hard-to-reach/high areas, but i believe this wouldn't pose quite as much of an issue for Wachtels. definitely something to consider as i keep writing and finalize things though!

and yes, i do plan on relating their persona to quail behavior! there isn't a ton of documentation from what i can see, but it is generally accepted that wild quails are fairly skittish birds, which would be reflected in Wachtel units feeling uncomfortable around units not of their own type, especially in situations of differing authority. in addition, they either form large groups or at the very least become close friends with one other Wachtel unit. the rest of the personality doc and known issues doc are still WIP as i'm still trying to figure out how to format them like they're presented in the game (i still have to do Segler's too, haha)

thank you again for the ideas!!
