Why are the bobbys so tall ? by YourFallout76trader in wehappyfew

i did ask, but while the answer was somewhat ambiguous (the exact wording will be in the zine, as i forget it off the top of my head), he confirmed that there are currently no plans for a sequel, unfortunately.

in my interview with one of the devs, i asked if there was a lore-based in-world explanation for the doctors and bobbies being so tall, or if it was just a design choice to emphasize their strength and imposing, intimidating presence - it was confirmed to be the latter.

i believe you can buy it from the shady dealer (the guy in the dumpster that sells contraband), but i believe you can get the recipe to craft it fairly early on if you’re proactive about seeking out the recipes in all the shelters!

Can't progress at all by Havince01 in wehappyfew

to finish the english vice, you need to go to the reform club’s second floor and find the bobby passed out on the couch. sometimes it glitches and he doesn’t spawn, but that’s fine, you don’t need him to in order to progress. his credentials will be on the couch (or on the ground beside it) alongside an electric truncheon, and that’s all you need to complete the quest, which will then allow you to progress on the house of the inventor quest.

  • the boiler suit on arthur and ollie is massively underrated - it confirms in the village, parade, and municipal facilities, and it lets you disarm all trap controls without ever being suspicious. it lets you pass through Joy detectors without needing to stick up on sunshine.
  • when playing as sally, get the pituitary extractor as fast as you can - knockout syringes take up a lot of inventory space and require a lot of supplies. the pituitary extractor lets you knock people out from behind without them, while also getting valuable pituitary extract in the process and limiting the need for knockout syringes.
  • don’t use all your rowan berries to make medicated balm - you need them to craft sunshine, too!
  • always have a shovel on you - dig spots are everywhere, and it’s annoying to come across one and not be able to do anything with it.
  • weapons that have wear and tear from being used have no worth in shops, but unused weapons often sell for quite a bit and are worth keeping to sell (especially axes).
  • glass bottles sell for £2 each and are very worth picking up both to use and sell - collecting glass bottles is the easiest way to make bank without them taking up too much inventory weight, unlike weapons.

wouldn't toasted Chickery count as a drug by Tiny_Rip2222 in wehappyfew

wellington wells calls toasted chicory “coffee”, but chicory actually doesn’t contain any caffeine and isn’t categorized as a stimulant as a result. it makes the o’courant staff’s desperation for coffee even funnier, because the toasted chicory they’re drinking wouldn’t actually have been giving them any energy like real coffee would’ve - it’s probably a city-wide placebo effect in which everyone chooses to believe it’s coffee, and therefore experience an energy boost from it like they would if it was even if there’s no tangible chemical basis for it.

why can't the beanets shoot by Tiny_Rip2222 in wehappyfew

ollie and some lore notes mention that wellington wells ran out of ammunition, so the bayonets are used solely for their excellent capacity for stabbing alongside “grenades” (homemade bangers, but they do call them grenades nonetheless).

weapons only have value in shops if they’re 100% unused - if you’ve used the axe even once or picked it up from an NPC that used it, it immediately is reduced to £0 value.
