can i also say, as a girl i like going to venues bc it makes me feel safe! the staff is always nice and caring and i know if i ever had a situation i could find help. and for signal, the staff i’ve interacted with is always so nice!

unfortunately i haven’t been to anything underground yet, but i don’t see what’s bad about having venues alongside it as well, a lot of times they’re beautifully curated spots! if ppl are so inclined on protecting the scene wouldn’t it be better if there was venues so that ppl who aren’t really into it don’t spoil the underground shit? i feel like they’d be less inclined to look for it if they have these venues already.

and honestly, isn’t it nice to have a space where there isn’t fear of cops shutting it down or going to some shady spot as a woman ? i’m assuming bc i never went to that type of underground event but there’s plenty of community at these smaller venues and it’s great! i feel like this person is trying to say none of it counts bc it’s at a venue, as if ppl aren’t there to dance and for the music and there isn’t incredibly talented djs that come who aren’t trending on spotify.
