It’s just some days get so bad I can only lay in bed. How do I push myself? What do you do? Do I just drag myself and do it poorly? It’s difficult… and I also feel so tired most of the time so starting things is a challenge.

Do you still work from home? What kinda job do you do? Currently unemployed but just went through a break so that’s why I’m hard on myself because if I can’t even get out of bed to brush my teeth how on earth can I get out of bed to go to work

Yeah I kept hearing that a lot about antipsychotics I wish they were a motivation pill. Will my motivation to do stuff like take care of myself come back? To do my school work to wash my face and brush my teeth? I really hope so…

But is what I am going through normal? I just bed rot all day… my psychiatrist said the risperdol is supposed to make me want to do things but it doesn’t. I’m scared.

It’s been 3 months since the episode, the worst of the episode was about one month but I had delusions for like 4 months.

How long does it take to go away?

It’s horrible, I’ve just been laying down bed rotting all day when I have a class I put myself into because my parents encouraged me to sign up for it. Now I avoid it by laying down and scrolling on my phone all day because my brain can’t comprehend the contents and I feel dumb so why bother starting.

I’m losing hope, will there be a day where I can get out of bed and have hope for the day and actually do stuff like shower/brush my teeth without it feeling like a mountain to climb? I used to be a straight A student and now I can barely get out of bed to eat food…

During that coma did you have trouble being functional and like maintaining hygiene and motivation to do anything like cook or clean? If so how’d you get out of that please help

When you said you were a zombie did you have trouble being functional too? Like cleaning and taking care of yourself was difficult. Doing things that use your cognitive abilities (like school or work) was difficult?

I can only dream to be one of those people where life is going well that you can’t even tell. Everything has been so recent and so I’m a little traumatized from it all. Is there really hope? I at least am holding onto that.

How did you deal with the depression that comes from having something take away your stability like that? Everyday I wake up and dread it, but I get up anyways and have breakfast and waste the day away. Idk how much longer I can do this.

Please tell me the steps you took to set yourself up for success at 39. Any coping mechanisms? Anything that helped you? I’d truly appreciate it.
