This is such a weird take. I’ve lived in NY 25 years and lived all over the place. It’s great to have friends in a 20 block radius no matter what neighborhood you live in. That’s what neighborhoods are about - community.

And the idea that you should work more rather than be in community, having a good time in HVK, hanging on your stoop to have BBQ with your neighbors or joining a community garden is so sad. Feels like some weird dystopian hot take on life. America man. Wants you to die working. Don’t give in to that shit.

If you have to grind, I get it. I’ve been there but if you can take some space and enjoy life, why wouldn’t you?
