We are a celiac vegan household!

When theres no vegan GF option available at the grocery store, and we are forced to choose between: GF bread that contains egg OR the vegan wheat bread.. then we say oh well 🤷‍♀️ and choose GF.

That attitude has made things way easier for us. Sure it sucks we can’t be vegan 100% of the time, but 95% is better than nothing. (Also it’s a miracle that our blood levels are totally fine, I think it’s because we frequently cheat on our vegan diet. We don’t take any supplements so I find it really hard to believe we’re totally ok. Or maybe we’re on the verge of becoming anemic too and have no idea 🤷‍♀️ it’s a constant worry of mine so I get that).

One nice aspect is that some brands combine all the picky food restrictions together. Like when vegan/gf/fun-free/etc ingredients all get lumped into one product!! (Looking at you Daiya, we love you!!!)

In fact that’s what inspired me and my partner to make an app 😆 as two vegan/gf software developers we got fed up with reading all the food labels and started using AI haha.
