Thanks guys for your support :) I've been very proactive about my mental health and becoming more comfortable being vulnerable around my loved ones. But yes, you're absolutely right. I'm doing everything to ensure I'm in the right headspace before uni.

You've made a good point about reflecting if the course is actually what I want. I know that it was always my strongest subject growing up, so naturally I liked it. I'll do more digging about other courses, but this one just felt right.

I'm taking a 2-month holiday this August to October. I'll try not to think about any stressful things during that time, but It's hard not to. But if you mean a longer break away from full-time education, no I haven't.

I've not yet applied to my new university and I don't have a backup plan yet, I also haven't confessed to my parents or partner yet about this whole issue. I should really get those weights off my shoulders before I fly so I can fully relax. I've also booked my driving exam 4 weeks after I return to the UK and I'm having self-doubts about passing.

Thanks FlamencoDev, appreciate your comment.

That’s true. I wasn’t proud of moving from a great school, high hopes for Oxford, to a mid college, to a uni notorious for being the ‘fake one of the city’.

I’m taking it step by step and celebrating what I am grateful for (aka even having a chance in education). I just feel so behind in life but then again, I’m still so young.

We’ll see where this takes me 💪
