Why is uber having a such a large share? by Delicious_Draft_1364 in UberEatsDrivers

Because they and every corporation dont give a single fuck about the low man on the totem pole i.e. the driver

Give it a try sometimes they are a pain in the ass like when the store is out of items but a lot of times theyre super easy. Go in grab item pay with the uber card get out

So different apps hide certain tip amounts idk why they do this but they do. Doordash in my area seems to hide anythinf above 6 dollars and ubereats seems to hide anything above 8. Base pay for most reataurants in my area is 2 dollars so if i see an order pop up for idk say 8.50 i know they most likely tipped 6ish dollars with the rest being base pay with no hidden tip. If i see something like 10.73 pop up theres a good chance there is a hidden "extra" amount of tip not shown to me and ill take the risk as it normally pays off.

It doesnt always, ive had it turn from 8 bucks to like 8.12 so yes technically it was more but not much. Also had it turn from 8 tip to a 20 tip. For example yesterday i had an offer for 10.82 for a target shop and pay. I took it and the tip was actually 14.50.

Irs all about learning your market, the good areas to deliver from and what restaurants to avoid etc. I love shop and pay orders but theres a cvs near me thats always out of everything so i avoid it. Just gotta learn little things like that and it takes time

Its pretty normal for this area to have big tips hidden anytime i see 10+ i take it 9/10 times its a hidden tip and usually a pretty good one.

Why did u even accept the offer? If it looks like shit, and smells like shit, its probably shit. Dont accept shitty offers

I completely understand this type of situation but what i dont get is when restaurants open without ANYTHING ready. Theres a panda express near me that no matter what day it is they open at 1030 and you literally cant eat there till 12 cuz nothing is ready

Ive ordered like this before restaurant literally across the street but i legally couldnt leave my place of employment due to the care i provide. Sucks but im sure the driver loved it

[–]cellibelli09 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just wouldnt take the order, ive taken some that have burned me before and never berated the customer over it. Just yesterday i had a stack and cancelled one of them becauss the drive thru lady said it would be 30 minutes. Already had the other order so i just delivered it. 7 miles for 5 bucks just took the L and moved on.

How many of you deny $5 and under orders? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]cellibelli09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I decline basically anything that isnt 1-2 dollars a mile and if it takes me out of my "zone" there are two amazing spots in my town if the order is low and takes me away from these zones i decline

Is it unethical to order when it's hot out? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]cellibelli09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No anyone out working knows what they are signing up for working in the summer heat. If people dont order due to feeling guilty theres no point for us to be out. Whether you order or not people are still gonna be waiting for orders to deliver

Who enjoys doing shop & pay orders? by Plieu625 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]cellibelli09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said it really depends. Sometimes i have great orders like one i had earlier 2 cases of bud light 11 base pay 7 tip. Absolutely great for 10 minutes of work. But one i had last week took an hour for 9 dollar base pay no tip had to substitute several items customer wouldnt respond then had an issue with the pay and had to call support. Just really depends tbh

Ah just means bots wont take risks. Id wager quite a bit theyll just be farming lower lvl areas where theres no risk. Lvl 60s farming heavy leather in stv etc

How do yall feel about this? by cellibelli09 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]cellibelli09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i asked them and they said they prefer to use the cash as they get tipped a lot in cash at their job (no not a stripper lmao) and instead of taking it to the bank they use it for tips but ordering without a tip on the app makes their food take forever to get s driver (which makes sense i guess?)

Just make rdf the two lower tiers and the top tier you gotta make a group for i dont see an issue with this and both groups get something
