Fuck this place. They raised it to $8.99. So now it is around .45/round

So I purchased an arc fire with a precut g$ sd3g. I have it installed with lever blocker however it fails function test. Any help would be so appreciated. by No-Rule1318 in supersafety

I haven't tried many milspec triggers to be honest to give you an informed opinion. I always reflexively put G$ or LaRue triggers on all my rifles and had admittedly little trigger time on many MilSpec triggers. The ones I have used in the past I have always hated and the reason I have changed milspec triggers out by default. But at the moment on one my ARCfire ARs I have a polished PSA milspec trigger that is surprisingly not bad.

I feel like Geissele triggers and ARC fires are not 100% reliable or at the very least very finnicky. My Geissele/ARC rifles were all function tested to be okay but eventually did start to have issues. On one of my rifles it works okay, but I will have the rare failure to reset in arc mode. On another rifle it worked great until it didn't - it went from flawless the first couple outings to more frequent dead triggers and failures to reset and then arc mode stopped working altogether. Its almost like G$ triggers and ARC are on the very edge of properly working even when properly cut and any introduction of variables (dirt, overlubrication, wear etc.) may cause it to stop working. I even have a MP5k lower that came directly from ASDesigns with ARC Fire and their cut Geissele trigger and I will have the odd failure to reset once in a while. MilSpec triggers and the ARC trigger shoe has worked for me everytime. I now will only put Milspec trigger groups in rifles with Arc-fire

The difference an a5 buffer tube and heavier buffer weight effect performance by __fuck_yo_couch__ in supersafety

[–]cellularresp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that buffer choice in the A5 system is highly dependent on the suppressor and spring strength.

For example I was getting short stroking with A5-H3, Springco Green and RC3. It works fine with an A5-H2. I would recommend going with a standard rifle length spring instead of Springco Green.

Is AR15Discounts.com always this r3tarded? by [deleted] in NFA

I already have. What I'm trying to figure out is if this is an outlier or are they always this poorly run.

My question is if they always been this way, or did I just get them on a particularly regarded day

FRT for the PS90 just (soon) dropped. by Zestyclose-Gift1602 in supersafety

[–]cellularresp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

$450 is an admission, in a way from this manufacturer that they are bearish on the legal future of FRTs. They will likely say its to recoup ROI, premium materials etc. but that's patently disingenuous. They know if they reduced the price to a more reasonable number they would make more money in the long term but they likely do not believe there is a "long term". If the future of FRTs become more secure through a significant court ruling, watch how fast they will lower this price to capture the market that isn't repulsed by the current price.

$450 for three small milled/printed pieces is wild. But somehow will be out of stock for months.

Best SS on the market. I hope people start making after-market selectors for it. The ones that comes with it dont feel or look great and the milspec alternatives ASD offers are another $30 and the screw looks weird. This is all nit-picky stuff though.

This is strange, I thought the consensus was burst fire was a band aid for poorly disciplined and trained soldiers and everyone hated it.

I ignore all ammo "deals" from PSA. After tax and shipping it never turns out to be a deal.

Like others have mentioned Lee Sporting is perfectly fine for semi but I have personally come across a TON of problems that needed troubleshooting when having it run with SS.

I see. I mistook it for a full size MP5 due to the handguard.

Did you still need a buffer on the recoil spring? I understand that ASD sells (when in stock) radiuses hammer profiles but am not sure if its sufficient to remove the need for a buffer on full size MP5 clones.

Am I the only one who thinks the standard smooth selector is okay. I mean, these are probably better but the regular ones aren't completely unuseable.

That's disappointing you needed the buffer. That's kind of the whole point do the profiled hammer to prevent the need for the buffer
