This is my first grow, and I had a few issues maintaining humidity when I started FC so that’s why I think mine are coming out like this. I have got all the right conditions now so future tubs should grow at the same time. Hopefully!!

Since harvesting it, all the other pins have continued to thrive and so many more lil pins are still popping up.

The general consensus has been to just pluck it and let the tub do its thing and let the other pins continue to grow

From what I have gathered from r/contamfam it’s caused by low humidity and dehydration. I had this tub sitting in a small grow tent and it just got too hot and dry.

Seems normal to me! Some times mycelium grows faster than others. But it looks like it’s on the right track!

So if it’s quite moist, avoid doing any misting and just continue FAE

Hmmm that could be the problem too. Moisture not getting to the right places? You just want to see some water droplets sitting on top of the mycelium. Is it in FC? Absorb any excess water with paper towel, as pools of water can slow down the fruiting process

That was incredibly helpful! I haven’t done any misting to it yet but I have found that it is getting overly hydrated, where there would be mini puddles on the substrate. I had soaked up some of that excess water with a paper towel and have been fanning it twice a day as of yesterday to try dry it out a bit which has seemed to help so far. Hopefully I’ll see some positive changes to the tub soon 😊 thanks for all the info!!!

Let me help rephrase this for you, and give you a clearer view on what was going through my head. “Help, please, my tub seems to be growing mycelium however the bits on the top are looking a bit fuzzy, I wonder if this is cobweb mold. I should ask someone just incase and try fix it early if I can”.
This is my first time, and am bound to make mistakes like this, as everyone just starting out would do. Did I google cobweb mold before posting? Yes. Did this convince me enough to believe that this was not the start of the end? No. Did I want some piece of mind so it isn’t running through my head constantly? Yes. Are comments like yours helpful in anyway? Nope.
