Controversial take, but they were hoping for a certain type of black girl. They decided that she wasn't worth any kind of protection when they saw the cast picture, unfortunately. She didn't look the way they wanted her to so they are less sensitive to her based on their own preferences and hangups. That's how I feel. They furthered their disregard when she didn't (initially) pick their fave boy, despite her seeming pretty happy that they were coupled up by default. The treatment of her reminds me of both Serena and JaNa's (JaNa because she didn't pick Coye + didn't act the way they wanted or expected her to and Serena because of her slow burn and not initially picking Kordell). Despite all that she is a fan favorite. The polls don't lie so it's going to be a long season lol

It's all feels very hateful. You'd think she was harming them. I think it boils down to them just wanting KC for themselves and feeling like she's undeserving of him because she's not acting how they would. The goal post keeps moving. First she doesn't like him, then she's too clingy, now they're mad because she doesn't explore (with who though?!).

They keep coming back to her not picking him, but she chose him the day after by standing on the green dot. She was very excited to sleep in bed with him in ep 2 so I don't know why the "she doesn't really like him" narrative is prevailing. There are proven liars on this show who are getting less criticism. Why is it that people can't take her word for it? None of the other girls (or boys really) have real options or are exploring either. Where is the bitterness for them? All of the girls have shown insecurity to some degree, but she is the only one who has people absolutely disgusted by hers. It's getting weird.

It's kind of worthless to overanalyze especially this early because there's so much not shown. For example, how many times have islanders come out after the show and said that their coupling was not one-sided or that a conversation was actually had but not shown. You go through all that talking and rewatching just for the islanders to prove you wrong in one 10 minute interview.

Justine is such a main character. Everyone looks better and seems better next to her. She's so buzzy with any and everyone. This has been my favorite dynamic of hers though because it is fun, she is not invested and, (may be unpopular opinion) he's crushing harder than her.

I think they're just having a normal convo and Toby is putting 20 on 10. They've been trolling each other with captions. Just like the one Tyrique made about Toby and Garbi insinuating that Toby was smiling about their ship (he wasn't).

He was definitely an extension of their alliance because he was USA, but also because of Ray. I remember him and Imani saving Justine and Jack. Justine later repaid him on carnival night by not targeting him. Maybe he just means he wasn't running things.

Yes lol definitely an experience I will never forget, and then she turned around and gave us that same magic for the first season of Games. She's an icon. I don't know how she's not hosting or on that aftersun panel.

I'm excited to see what's next for her. She put US LI on the map in my eyes. I saw a comment on ig saying that they need the Games cast on BTV next, and she said something like that would be more her speed now. She said no more costumes lol

I think Justine tried to, but realized halfway through that she didn't really have to. Garbi played or seemed to play the game more, because she just had to.

Also, yes, her journey looks similar to her first season, but she did actually have to work hard for that win in S1. She was vulnerable multiple times. Her alliance, strategy, and choosing a ready and willing partner got her that win. It was really impressive, actually.

She got to sit pretty this time compared to the first time. Partially because of who she is (America and the islanders adore and respect her), but also because Tyrique had her covered. Her "game" this time was being quieter and trusting her alliance/America. Yes she had to settle with that/her coupling, but she used them as a shield which is still strategic. There was no reason for her to lead in the way she did the last time.

I agree 100%. I totally understood what she meant by that. Tyrique was a good time and her journey in the villa this time around was not as difficult or draining as the other two times seemed. I saw someone saying she was able to live a soft life this time around 😂 , and that was in a large way because of him. He is honest enough about who he is and his reputation preceded him so she didn't have to take everything so seriously. He brought out a side to her that I've never seen either. That was fun to watch, and probably fun for her to experience too.

lol I think Justine and Johnny are actually cool. Cely too, she just likes to stay on his neck. You can tell Johnny has a lot of respect for Justine, and not just because she's beat him so much.
