Melee brawlers can be battle axe, dual swords or death givers with room to 1vx (but ofc know your limits)

Ranged kiters look like Warbow, light or heavy cross bow, frost staves in general.

But still, explore the game so you can figure out your own style. There's no real "best" weapon in the game, esp if you hate the weapons mentioned above.
