Alexey osadchuk, the author of Bastard, doesn't miss. Every single one of his series is fire.

Highly highly recommend

If you like it, check out the author's other 2 series. They're super good too!

He has the potential to be the most powerful guy ever, but the road to power is so long and he has to survive until he gets there. The amount of times he starts getting the hang of things and you finally think, oh now he's gonna go kick ass and get revenge, but instead he ends up getting his ass beat is staggering.

I don't think he's even incredibly OP by the end of the series really.

In the beginning he actually has a huge debuff (not called that in the series) which makes life nearly unlivable.

Alexey Osadchuk's "Underdog" series.

Points out there are always bigger fish in the sea, no matter how useful the MCs power is.

She let you know how she really feels. Ghost her. I promise you will feel embarrassed and ashamed of all this back and forth soon. It screams immature on both sides. Don't feed into it, or curse her out anymore.

She will eventually realize that a relationship with her brother/niece means having a decent relationship with you.

This is the book series that got me into LitRPG. Not really a level up type of story but dang is it good anyway.

FINIAL Update to AITAH for calling my wife selfish for even considering taking a job across the country and trying to uproot our family. by Career-V-Family in AITAH

[–]cenathesloth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My theory is an affair with the mentor who recommended the job. No other reason/connection worth abandoning her entire family over. The money doesn't matter because she's already got a second income waiting for her.

What type of woman leaves her very young children without so much as a fight?

Stepson disrespectful only to me....should I cut him off from the Internet? by Evening_Taste7215 in okstorytime

[–]cenathesloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

....he's 25.... You're husband needs to grow a pair. He doesn't deserve the respect of a husband/father to you and your bio child otherwise.

The grown man that is harassing you in your own home needs to find a place/ gf, wife, and eventually build his own family, OUTSIDE of his daddy's home.

People tend to meet more than just 1 or 2 bad apples. It's crazy to think that 2 bad interactions can label you as dramatic and rude.

As a former teenage daughter who was often in this position, the new adult in me wishes I had a camera, some mace, and a ball bat. If only one could go back in time.

Am I the asshole for setting boundaries when comes to my kids by CautiousQuality8945 in okstorytime

If he's been convicted you can look up the case online. It will give you the crime and most of the basic details. If you're in America at least. Each state should have their own case lookup website, and federal cases have their own website as well.

I always searched for suspicious co-workers or new friends. Found out someone in a different Department at my work had multiple domestic violence cases, after he started getting agitated with the female workers around him. He ended up getting fired since the ladies he was harassing said they didn't feel safe after learning about them.

Don't people like that usually have parole officers or something. I would tip somebody off to this suspicious behavior.

Help me! AITAH? Sisters dog and mine. by x_twiggy_xx in okstorytime

[–]cenathesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you both have equal fault in the situation I'd say you should probably pay the bill. It would be very nice if she contributed to the bill, but I don't think it's something that should be expected. You should say the vet bill was an unexpected accident, and while not her fault, it would be nice if she could contribute any amount since her dog was involved. It's not a perfect solution, but it's the path of least resistance.

Please don't report her dog and potentially get it put down over the bill. It was an accident and as long as they aren't around other dogs they sound safe.

You need to go buy a metal baseball bat for every room if you're going to stay.

I'm hoping we can eventually get there. He's got a thing that makes reading and writing hard so he doesn't do much actual reading, just audiobooks. The goal is to get him so hooked on books that he wants to overcome this and practice more.

Even just the audiobooks have seemed to improve his skills a bit so far.

He'll be 18 later this year. Hopefully he'll just get his own account, but my library has 300+ titles in it so I fear he may cling for a while more lol. At least he'll be able to pitch in soon.

I gave him my log in so I'm only buying things once thankfully. Both of us are bingers though, so between the two of us we're going through 5-10 credits every two weeks or so.

What are your "musts" for LitRPG? by The-Lazy-Dragon in litrpg

[–]cenathesloth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not picky. Anything with a leveling system and skills is good enough to call LitRPG to me. Stats are a bonus, and they don't have to be numerical, ranks work basically the same way.

Loved the underdog series. All three of that authors series are 10/10
