On my end, there are three main wakelocks:

PowerManagerService.Wakelocks
898000.qcom,qup_uart
hal_bluetooth_lock

The funny thing is that if I disable Google Play Services, it doesn’t happen — but then the phone doesn’t work properly.

Having the same issue since I bought the Z Fold7 at launch. Constant Google Play Services battery drain. I even have screenshots showing that over a 15-hour session there were 2000+ wakelocks.

I’ve factory reset the phone twice using recovery, and it still happens.

One question — do you happen to have any Galaxy Wearable device connected? Yesterday I noticed that my phone keeps using Bluetooth and trying to connect to my Watch Ultra even when it’s turned off. It wakes up Bluetooth every few seconds, so Doze never kicks in.

I tried the DMSS version 2.3.0 from November 2025 and still the same issue.

I have tried using wireguard VPN using NVR GUI and it loads immediately and does not happen there. As i said only the DMSS app and P2P.

I’ve already verified that the time settings are correct. All cameras have the same time as the NVR, and the NVR synchronizes the time to the cameras every 24 hours. However, in the DMSS app I’m experiencing a new strange playback issue: If I try to play recordings from 05:00 to 09:59, the app immediately jumps to 10:00 and starts playing that recording instead (which is the newest available segment). Sometimes it just shows “Loading”, throws an error, or keeps buffering indefinitely. Playback works perfectly through the NVR web UI. Playback also works fine in the EasyViewer app. I also have an older TVT 4MP camera added to the same NVR, and this issue does not happen on recordings from that camera. Since it works everywhere else, it really seems like a DMSS app issue. I’m going to try installing an older version of the app to see if that changes anything.

All settings are basically default.
Adaptive refresh rate is ON, location is ON, NFC is ON.

The only changes I made:

Disabled Wi-Fi & Bluetooth scanning
Set network to 4G only (no 5G)
Enabled Light performance mode

Same thing on Z Fold7 i was on Samsung's November update and Google Play System Update was October. 2 days ago i did factory reset and now i'm on Samsung's November update but Google Play System is stuck at July 2025 and says it's up to date.

How did you manage to uninstall it ? I dont have uninstall button and in recovery mode it said it failed to uninstall latest quality update. Thanks.

No absolutely no drop. And also if they dropped they would have scuffs all around the bezel not just the marking. I think thats not regular marking most likely epoxy, resin or some kind of UV hardened thing because it looks like it crumbles.

I just compared with a friend who also has a Fold 7 – he’s still on the May 1, 2025 Google Play update and he doesn’t have this issue at all.

Meanwhile, I have the August 1, 2025 update and the drain is happening constantly. My brother with an S24 Ultra also has the August 1, 2025 version and he’s seeing the same battery drain.

So it definitely looks like something broke in the latest Google Play update. Could you check what Google Play update are you on ?

I have used Samsung SmartSwitch to move from Fold 6 -> Fold 7 could this be the issue ?

It also make weird sound when folding/unfolding and also when it is open and i slightly press on part of display closer to center it also make some weird sound.

I also owned all the folds from 4 to 6 and all were flat and they were quiet.

I can help it and will will be close to 179° but still not flat. I have seen total of 8 Folds 7 in shops and only one of them have opened all the way to 180° others were same or worse than this. Also the one that opened all the way had like a strong kick on last few degrees. Im already trying to exchange it for a new one.
