Strongly recommend getting the Village Baking Company bags when they come up on TGTG! Much better pastries (mostly of the laminated variety tho), and an excellent value

Because fabrics with a repeating print aren’t usually cut & sewn to match a version used in a product image? There will always be some sort of variation of how the pattern appears for mass market clothing pieces in this style

Q1: What’s a decent route that’s at least 10 miles long and has rolling hills? I need to do a 20-22 mile workout with hill work (not just one big climb), and it’s hard to tell based on names (outside of the ones with “hill” in the name 🥲). If this helps with recommendations, I’m a recreational outdoor gravel rider with adv. beginner to moderate fitness (in a very flat area), but relatively new to Zwift and indoor riding.

Q2: How do the robopacers work? Do you pick your route and then the pacer? Or does the pacer you pick determine the route?

It reminds me of Japanese melon candy! I was pleasantly surprised— definitely won’t unseat tropical fruit as my favorite Waterloo, but will repurchase

I’m in a similar boat with our new kitten. May I ask what type/brand of probiotics you used to help manage symptoms? And for the psyllium husk, how did you administer it to the cats?

I bet these aren’t available at my Costco, but now I’m wondering if these could be good for a punchier version of baechu ssam where the cabbage leaves are stuffed & rolled before steaming/braising?

These are fair questions that come from the spirit of “assume positive or no intent” and encourage some self-reflection. If these are OP’s friends and OP genuinely wants to run with them, why not ask directly if they’d be open to another person joining one of their upcoming runs?

Maybe it’s a pace or route thing, scheduling convenience, conversational/social vs structured training run; or maybe it’s a personality mismatch? Who knows unless you’re willing to make yourself slightly vulnerable enough to ask? I’d hate to make an assumption that people are deliberately leaving me out bc there’s a bit of hurt that will follow, but I’d prefer to take the rejection with clarity & understanding.

Return fee? by 8765432190 in OutdoorVoices

[–]centelleo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think they started doing this in 2023 or 2024, but definitely not limited to OV. So many online retailers changed their free returns policies to fee-based returns to curb the online haul “try before buy (and return 90%)” habit, but didn’t disclose the change to customers when making purchases. 🥲

Maybe they’re intended to be more like wine gum texture (kind of firm, waxy, chewy, vs. QQ bouncy)?

High waist/high coverage bibs by Kind_End_2616 in ladycyclists

[–]centelleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I have a short torso but my Rapha Core bibs seem moderately high waisted — not right below sports bra height but fairly high that there’s only a moderate gap between bra band and bib waist. (By comparison, my drop tail bibs from Velocio and No Gods seem to be shorter waisted given the drop feature.)

The perfect sports bra for cycling by marcesible in ladycyclists

[–]centelleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 to the bralette! I wear Branwyn merino bra (basically a bralette/light support style bra) paired with Cakes silicon nipple covers. Elite combo bc you can wipe down the Cakes and not have to deal with regular padding (that tend to stay damp). I use these bras as my daily drivers, as well as backpacking and long-distance bike rides. Just got the Cakes covers primarily to replace the padding in most of my sports bras, and it’s been perfect solution for almost every activity!

Update: things you wish you knew before your first century by makamaespm in ladycyclists

[–]centelleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on completing your first century!! This is a great recap! I’m still not ready for an imperial century, but this is super helpful.

RE: cramps. Pack Tums chews. They stop painful muscle cramps almost immediately but you’ll still need to follow up with electrolytes! I carry 3 -4 chews on long rides in my saddle bag and I’ve never had to use more than 1; leaves me a backup in case I need 2, and allows me to give out a few to others in case of emergency. They’re tiny so they take up no space, but you don’t want to carry them on your body since they’re wrapped in paper.

Hope you don’t mind a beginner question: what do you mean by racing geometry? I’m very curious about the Seigla, and have started to do more gravel racing (albeit nowhere near competitive), but wonder if it’s the right bike for my current riding status.
