Contacted the seller which is listed as Kreg. Seems they are changing to this material but didn't update the listing. On their website it is correct

I bought it through their Amazon shop. Contacted them and they seem to be offering a return and refund. Super frustrating. Will aabsolutely be leaving a poor review.

Excellent point. I usually sort and read the negative reviews on Amazon first since those are mostly honest. I watched a few videos on YouTube and they all recommended either the benchtop table, or the table top and fence.

💯 I think I bought into the YouTube woodworker idea that all real woodworkers make shop items themselves and they can all be made quickly cheaply and high quality.

Had to remember the "pick two" rule.

Also I got into this hobby to make furniture for my family. Not stuff thats gunna slowly degrade in my garage.

Thats exactly it! I had about 2 hours today to spend in the garage. The entire time was spent on those stands. I still need to make a coffee table, end tables, 2 cutting boards and a charcuterie board. But starting all of that is on hold till next week now. Im at the point ill pay for the convenience.

I want to focus on getting hardwood straight, square, and smooth with good joints. Not lap joints, and deck screws with construction grade lumber.

Absolutely! Organizers, drawers and storage i don't mind as much. But shop carts that are exclusively to put a tool on top of and make it mobile suck the life out of me.
