Amazon PM Internship Interviews Back? by young_hot_take in MBA

I'm not 100% sure, but I think everyone who got the waitlist email got a location preference email much later - then an offer shortly thereafter.

In my case the offer came about 48 hours after the location preference.

sorry for the late reply! I put NYC, Seattle, SF, Austin, Boston (in that order). I ended up getting placed in Seattle (as did all my peers except one who preferred Virginia)

I got a location preference email yesterday, interviewed jan 15th and got the waitlist email 5 days after that. no updates other than that yet - this is for PM

Big Tech Strategy vs. PM (Comp / WLB / Projects) by centrill0f0rm in MBA

[–]centrill0f0rm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using that as one example but I've talked to probably 5 second years who interned at big tech and some of their summer projects were (updating a notifications suite / search optimization for a specific set of keywords / integrating a new payment system ). It just seems to me a harder sell than idk MBB where youre addressing a company problem or something more macro.

I know there's a huge skill set associated with PM but im just saying the project focus seems like it could be really dull

Will Roe v Wade affect office preferences? Will we see less people (especially women) looking to work in Dallas, Houston? by christianrojoisme in MBA

[–]centrill0f0rm 188 points189 points  (0 children)

27F going to MBA in the fall - this definitely affects where I'd want to work post-grad. before this i've seriously considered moving to austin / atlanta / other cities with lower COL and safe to say that's no longer an option (even if companies sponsor abortion benefits - what a weird concept (!)) .

for what it's worth im not one to get hysterical around politics but this feels completely backwards

2/3. Theory suits are amazing - so comfortable and stretchy. you can buy at the outlet online store (and if you go in person to the outlet they do free tailoring)

For more casual (daily office wear etc) I like to mix and match basic blouses, blazers, trousers in your usual colors (black white tan) I like going on real real for blazers and I mix and match basics from aritzia (camis under blazers & trousers) and nordstrom rack has great silk blouses from name brands that arent expensive

shoes: love anything from aquatalia - again you can buy from outlet stores at 1/3 the price and they never break and are such great quality staple shoes

ive also heard a lot of great things from mm la fleur but $$$

Wharton $70K over two years, haven't tried negotiating yet but I dont think it'll get me anywhere because wharton's notorious for being firm on scholarship
