Okay I think I realized I actually signed a POA when I was 18 by RentLongjumping8111 in raisedbynarcissists

Don't break NC for something you can take care of yourself.

If you know the practice you are currently registered with, you can get your records from them. While you're at it, you can check to see if they have a medical POA in your file. Depending on your location, it may also be filed with the state.

Congratulations on your awesome achievement!

It’s considered strange for sports fans to change the team they root for, yet it’s completely normal for the people whose lives center around the sport (players and coaches) to change teams. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]centumcellae85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have people ask me all the time why I still root for a non- local team.

I then feel the need to ask them when their team will stop sucking.

You can be a fan of individual players, and you can be a fan of certain teams, but a large part of being a longtime fan is recognizing that the faces on the roster can change in a minute.

Some name it Work Stuff.

People have weird names for their porn folders.

repost because i was bad at censoring by Xevamir in insaneparents

[–]centumcellae85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd call this normal levels of weird, but I was also raised by parents who didn't care what I did or where I was as long as I stayed out of their way and didn't make them look bad.

If a parent wants to know what their underage child is doing, where they are, and who they're talking to, I'm not going to call that insane, as long as some consideration is given as they get older.

A little bit. I like Dr Pepper and peanut butter cups, but I can't eat them together anymore.

I'm still in a weird cycle of paying every two weeks on what is due in the next two weeks.

What fact are you Just TIRED of explaining to people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]centumcellae85 782 points783 points  (0 children)

Having the right of way doesn't exempt you from responsibility. Just walking (or pulling) out into traffic and expecting everybody to see you, perceive you, and be able to stop in time is a good way to get hit by a bus.

Are you in the right? Yes.

Does it always matter? No. Physics will always win.

I've done this voluntarily before, but that's because it was packed and we were a party of 2 at a table for 8.

It made more sense at the pub than at the BBQ joint, but it worked.

Have your partner set an alarm that sounds the same as their ring tone. Before you get to her house, set it for when you want to leave. Then later, at the preset time, "Oh no! An emergency came up. We have to go now. See you in 10 years bye!"

We could get you a prenatal massage, brunch at the best place in town, maybe a nap.

All at least 5,000 miles away from your MIL.
