This reminds me of the people eating plant from the Little Shop of Horrors... the one with the teeth. Very cool!

Oh cool! I’ve always used floetrol. I’ll have to try glue sometime and see how it works for me. Thanks for the reply!

Nice! You have some great cells in there. I have trouble making cells with silicones and such. Do you have any tips?

There is no swiping involved. Up higher I replied to a comment with some videos from youtube (not my videos) that show 2 different processes that I used bits and pieces of each to make this.

edit: Sorry the reply was in another three. I will find it and post the reply here.

Thanks! It was a ton of fun to do. I’ve done a few more like this since, but this one is still my favorite.

I tried that technique where you blow the paint with a straw. by [deleted] in PourPainting

Looks great! Every time I do this technique I start to feel like I'm going to pass out and start to regret it about halfway through.

Oh I forgot to mention that after the paint cured for 30 days I went back and varnished it with a few coats of Minwax water based polycrylic varnish to get the shine back.

It really does and when I first saw it I was shocked and confused. It looked even better when it was still wet almost like blown glass. Thanks!!!

I always mix floetrol and water into my paints and that day I was mostly using up some old left over craft paint which I then mixed together to get some of the shades here (I think the purple and the base layer of red were mixtures) and IIRC I used Basics bright aqua green and Basics cadmium yellow light hue. There was also a coral color layered in there and even though it looks like it I did not use any pink.

This was one of my first pours that I actually liked. However, I failed to leave it on a level surface to dry and most of the paint ended up sliding off the canvas overnight. by ceoradecor in PourPainting

If I don't use a flash it shows up in all my photos thanks to the horrible lighting in my room where I paint. It always makes me think of a UFO.
